Kelly Clarkson's Ex-Husband Finally Moves Out Of Her Ranch But Is Always Asking For More

Divorce can be tough and can take a long time to settle and begin to move on, as singer Kelly Clarkson has found out. While her divorce from music manager Brandon Blackstock was settled in March of this year, two years after they split up, drama with her ex-husband is still lingering on. After stalling to leave her Montana ranch, he's finally left the home. Us Weekly reported that Blackstock, 45, was court mandated to leave the home by June 1, and "wanted to fight the order but was ultimately talked out of it."

Clarkson, 40, has been eagerly waiting for his departure from her ranch, and that has been part of a constant struggle throughout the divorce proceedings filed in June 2020. Blackstock previously testified that he would like to leave the entertainment industry and become a rancher full time, stating that he needs the Montana ranch for his business. Clarkson was listed as the sole owner and has long wanted to sell it. Sources have said that Blackstock doesn't believe he's gotten his fair share out of the divorce and "is always asking for more and being a constant thorn in her side."

Blackstock walked away with some hefty numbers between alimony, child support, and assets. He's receiving $115,000 in alimony until January 2024. And while Clarkson has primary custody, he's getting $45,601 in child support for their two children, River, 8, and Remington, 6. Once the Montana ranch, worth about $17,750,000 is sold, he will receive more than $900,000, because he fought for, and won, 5.12 percent of the land during his divorce proceedings.

While the former music manager has lost his final client, Blake Shelton, who reportedly sided with his fellow "Voice" judge Clarkson, it's time for Blackstock to settle into a new line of work. He recently purchased a $1.8 million home in Butte, Montana, according to Us Weekly. He renamed his cattle ranching business, previously known as Vintage Valley Ranch, to V Bar Cattle Co. shortly after the divorce was finalized. His plan is to now become a full-time rancher.

Clarkson filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. While it appeared that the couple had the perfect relationship, not all as it would seem. A source close to the singer told US Weekly, "They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return. So, she filed for divorce."

Blackstock wasn't the only one to buy a new home after divorce. Clarkson also bought a new home so she can have her own fresh start. Her spacious $5.4 million home, located in Toluca Lake, California, is just under 5,000 square feet, boasting five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. During a December 2020 episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" the singer said, "I got a new house, it's very white and clean...and I also redid my office here [at the show]. I looked at Kevin in our art department and I was like, 'Please help me make this make sense.' I just wanted to feel happy. The colors make me feel very good."
