Serena Williams just showed the world what the sportsman spirit, or should we say sportswoman spirit is all about. After crashing out of Wimbledon by losing to Harmony Tan, Serena Williams remains positive and has an uplifting message for all on Instagram.
The 40-year-old champion is not easy to bring down and has high hopes for the future, although it's not sure whether her future will include Wimbledon, or not...
Serena Williams Admits 'Not The Result I Came For'
After a hamstring injury forced her out of Wimbledon the last time, the 23-time major winner crashed out of Wimbledon's SW19 by losing to Harmony Tan in a rather gripping match. While Williams struggled in the first set, she rallied later, for an overall loss of 7-5 1-6 7-6 (10-7).
She's no stranger to losses or wins, considering she's a seven-time Wimbledon singles champion. As BBC reported, Williams admitted that she did not want Tuesday's loss to be her final memory of a court where she has had so much success in the past.
Williams lost to France's Tan almost a year to the day after she limped off, tearfully from Centre Court having hurt her right ankle in her first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
She took to Instagram after the loss, writing, "Not the result I came for, but my goodness I enjoyed that. I hope you did as well."
While Wimbledon may or may not feature in Serena's tennis future, a positive outlook certainly does.
The preparations were all in place:

When asked if this was her last time at Wimbledon, BBC reports that Williams said, "That's a question I can't answer. I don't know. Who knows where I'll pop up?"
She also admitted that she was okay with the loss, saying, "I gave all I could do. Maybe tomorrow I could have given more. Maybe a week ago I could have given more. But today was what I could do. At some point, you have to be able to be OK with that."
Isn't she a Marvel?
