Normani Stars As Chris Brown's Dance Partner In Steamy Music Video And Fans Are Not Having It

Singer Chris Brown, who's all set to drop his 10th studio album, "Breezy," released a music video for his latest single, "Warm Embrace," which featured Normani as the video vixen.

While the intimate choreography left many social users in shock and appreciation of Normani's dancing skills, it also accrued backlash for the "Wild Side" singer as many fans were disappointed that she'd choose to work with Brown, given his storied past of abuse and colorism allegations.

Even worse, she had earlier partnered with Rihanna's brand, Fenty, and for many fans, this only sent a message of betrayal.

The new music video, directed by Arrad and has amassed 1.2 million views on YouTube, features Brown falling into space through a galaxy.

He then notices someone at his house, which is no one other than Normani. The duo dance to some seductive sounds under purple strobe lights, exhibiting crackling chemistry for all to see.

As if that wasn't enough, Normani and Brown appear to go underwater, with Normani straddling Brown's knee–a clear highlight of the music video.

The release of the "Warm Embrace" music video comes shortly after the release of his album, "Call Me Everyday," which featured "Iffy" and "WizKid," In his newest album coming up, "Jack Harlow," "Her," and "Fivio Foreign" are some of the artists to be featured.

While several fans have pointed out the sizzling chemistry, others have taken time to call out the songstress, noting that she shouldn't have associated herself with the singer, given his storied past.

"Idk why the new R&B girls feel the need to collaborate with him," a fan opined in a tweet, which went viral and has been retweeted almost 2,000 times. “Ella Mai, HER, Chlöe, now Normani. It's disappointing. I can't say I get it because he has repeated his behavior toward women, kicked dark skin women out of clubs he's in, and has made the same song since 2012."

"Why would Normani do this to her career? Chris Brown? Seriously??" another fan asked in frustration.

"How can you model for Fenty and then do this?" Another fan posted.

While another individual was awash with shock, posting, "Normani, this isn't you look at me," another shared, "I hope she knows this will be the end of her career that never started in the first place."

One user shared, "Normani is over, and she has not even started." The next one responded in the same vein, "Not sure why she thought it was a good idea to work with Chris BeatHerTillShe Brown, but what can I expect at this point?"

However, some fans had no issues with the collaboration, lauding her seamless collaboration with Brown.

Another fan added, "THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS REAL. I AM GOING TO CRY. CHRIS AND NORMANI. IN A VIDEO TOGETHER. OH MY GOD."

The "Loyal" hitmaker's past has been muddled with several accusations from different women. He was charged with a felony 13 years ago after shocking images of his then-girlfriend Rihanna with a bruised face and split lip resurfaced online.

Her injuries were the aftermath of a physical altercation between them immediately after a party.

After he pleaded guilty to the offense, he struck a plea deal, which allowed him to avoid jail time completely.

Instead, he was sentenced to five years probation, labor-oriented service, and domestic violence counseling.

He was also put on a restraining order that required him to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna and 10 yards away if they were at the same event.

Though it was to remain in place until 2014, it was lifted in 2011, a decision supported by Rihanna herself.

In his documentary, "Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life," he shared that they frequently engaged in physical altercations and his infidelity only worsened things.

"We were fighting each other. She would hit me. I would hit her. But it never was OK," he admitted, per Daily Mail.

Earlier this year, a woman sued the musician for allegedly drugging and raping her while at a party in Miami (as per PageSix).

Although the singer's reps and attorney haven't responded to the allegations, Brown addressed the allegations himself on his social media.

"Whenever I'm releasing music or projects, 'THEY' try to pull some real bulls–t." He also included a cap emoji — slang for "lies."

He later posted several other voice and text messages on his Instagram stories. Brown's party claimed that the woman continued to pursue a relationship with him despite the alleged sexual abuse incident.
