Chris Brown is popularly known for being the "King of R&B" and has been compared now and again to the famed "King of Pop" Michael Jackson for his remarkable performances on stage.

Speaking with Big Boys to promote his tenth studio album "Breezy," the 33-year-old responded to the Michael Jackson comparisons, calling "cap" on them.

Big Boy shared a clip of the interview with Brown on Instagram, where the presenter asked the music star a few questions about being compared to Jackson. The post's caption read:

"#ChrisBrown speaks on being compared to #MichaelJackson – Listen to an ALL NEW #BigInterview with @chrisbrownofficial 9:23 AM TUESDAY on @real923la."

During the interview, the host asked Brown for his take on being measured up to the late musician, and the pop artist replied with, "That's cap."

He was also asked how he handled similar conversations and admitted, "I stay the hell up out of it. I'm a keep it a hundred. I kinda back off it."

Brown further credited the "Thriller" star for inspiring him and stated that he could never compete no matter how much fans compared them.

In his words, "My personal take on it is I wouldn't even be breathing or even be able to sing if that man didn't exist."

He added, "I don't know if they look at it as a Jordan-Kobe thing, but I couldn't even look at it. He's light years ahead. There's no competing with him."

The hip-hop star further revealed that he had "shrines" of Jackson hanging up in his house, showing how deeply he revered the legend.

His comparison to the deceased "Billie Jean" musician recently sparked up again after former NHL star Ryan Clark called Brown more talented than Jackson.

As expected, some fans agreed with the hockey icon while others disagreed. All the same, this will not be the first debate about their likeness, as 50 Cent and Justin Bieber previously matched him to the music idol.

In 2019, 50 Cent called Brown "better than MJ," while Bieber described him as a combination of Jackson and Tupac Shakur.

The "Peaches" vocalist also stated that when the "Yeah 3x" singer died after living a "long full life," fans would miss what they had in front of them.

Meanwhile, Brown hinted at a possible Verzuz when speaking to Big Boy, but he did not reveal many details as he was "keeping it a hundred."

As for his upcoming album "Breezy," he said he initially recorded 250 songs, but he and his team had to "narrow it down" to the featured twenty-three.

The statement came after Big Boy asked him how many music pieces he had to record and how he let his "babies" go, resulting in 23 tracks left.

Speaking with Big Boy, he further said he had been preparing for the highly anticipated album during the release of his previous music compilation "Indigo."

The Chris Brown vs. Michael Jackson debate will not be the first comparison of the "Beat It" soloist to another music star as he was previously compared to Beyoncé, blowing up the internet.

With the pair's extraordinary impact on the music industry and their captivating performances, The Blast noted that fans could not help but pair them against each other.

Not many musicians remarked on the controversial comparison; however, Jay-Z addressed the debate last December, calling his wife the best artist and giving a reason behind the choice.

He said his beautiful wife would be "mad" at him for his pick but mentioned that Jackson never had a Coachella, unlike Beyoncé, who evolved from watching the icon since she was 9.

The music director further asked fans to find him a "culturally relevant and thrilling" concert similar to Coachella, given another name Beychella, after his spouse's outstanding performance.

Jay-Z then concluded the subject by saying the "Brown Skin Girl" musician was "one of the best singers" in the world because she was "such a student."
