Gloria Estefan has a thing or two to say about Jennifer Lopez's controversial comment on her Super Bowl Halftime performance with Shakira.

The two Latino powerhouses took over the Super Bowl Halftime stage in 2020 and gave quite a riveting performance. However, despite the success of their collaboration, JLo wasn't too pleased about the idea of them teaming up together for the prestigious marquee entertainment ceremony.

The "Hustlers" actress while planning half of the performance with her music director Kim Burse lamented having to be with the "Hips Don't Lie" singer on stage during such a short time.

"This is the worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl. It was the worst idea in the world," JLo revealed.

Explaining why she had such thoughts, the 52-year-old said, "We have six f---ing minutes. We have 30 seconds of a song, and if we take a minute, that's it, we've got five left. But, there's got to be certain songs that we sing, though. We have to have our singing moments. It's not going to be a dance f---ing revue. We have to sing our message."

Lopez's manager Benny Medina supported her sentiment in a separate interview, calling the need for two Latinas to headline an "insult."

"Typically, you have one headliner at a Super Bowl. That headliner constructs a show, and, should they choose to have other guests, that's their choice," Medina commented.

JLo's comment about the show caused quite the ruckus on social media as it was taken out of context, but in the documentary, she was seen expressing her displeasure to Shakira.

In the past, stars like Madonna and Lady Gaga have had 15 minutes and 14 minutes respectively for solo performances, per Entertainment Weekly. However, for JLo and Shakira, they had to work with just 12 minutes.

"If it was going to be a double-headliner, they should have given us 20 minutes. That's what they should've f---ing done," JLo complains to her co-performer.

Gloria Estefan Reacts To Lopez's Comment

On Wednesday, Estefan made an appearance on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" and participated in the segment "The Holy Veil of Questions" where she dished on the topic.

When asked what she thought of JLo's Netflix documentary and the comment, the Queen of Latin Pop said, "This is the bottom line, you have very little time, You have like 12 minutes or something to get things on and off the set."

She continued, "So could you do it [with] one person? Yes. But I think they wanted to throw a Miami and Latin extravaganza. They tried to pack in as much as possible and they killed it. An amazing show."

Despite having nothing but praises for the duo and understanding JLo's complaint about the time slot, the "Wepa" singer couldn't help but throw some shade.

Estefan who was actually asked to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime but turned it down joked about how JLo would have felt if they invited a third performer.

Addressing Cohen's remarks, the three-time Grammy Award winner said, "Imagine what J. Lo would have said if I would have been a third! I literally would’ve come out, done ‘Shake Your Body’ [‘Conga’] and out."

Putting the jokes aside, the 64-year-old explained why she couldn't be part of the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime. In her words, "Yeah. Look, it's their moment. They're in a whole other thing. I've done a couple of Super Bowls. I didn't want to go on a diet in December. It's Christmas!"

Indeed, Estefan is no stranger to blowing up the Super Bowl Halftime stage. She has performed at the NFL entertainment event three times — 1992, 1995, and 1999 — and has killed it each time.

Fans were blown away by Estefan's responses to the Super Bowl Halftime controversy and praised her for being so quick-witted and funny.

One comment read, "OMGGGG. I just imagined Gloria coming out as the finale/surprise of that half-time show. That would have been soooo good."

Another fan added, "Queen GLORIA ESTEFAN!!!!! she was so funny. I love her response. Ultimate professional."
