Katy Perry Leaves Tip & A Hug For Argumentative Waitress

Katy Perry is happy to be treated like an everyday citizen.

The singer is currently in the land down under with her future hubby, Orland Bloom, and their daughter, Daisy Dove.

Bloom is currently in Australia filming “Wizards!”

The movie will also star Pete Davidson, Naomi Scott, Franz Rogowski and Sean Harris. Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, will produce it.

On Saturday, June 18, Perry and her daughter paid a visit to a café in Port Douglas in Queensland, Australia.

Upon arriving to the café, the “Firework” singer was told she would have to wait for a table.

Typically, when an A-list celebrity such as Perry walks into an establishment, they are seated right away without any hesitation or question.

The Australian waitress who greeted the singer and delivered the unfortunate “wait time” news to the singer had no idea she was in the presence of Perry.

The waitress involved in the interaction is named Indianna Paull.

She proceeded to “argue” with Perry over seating and the wait time before she was overcome with a hug from the singer.

Paull uploaded a video to TikTok recounting the wild encounter, but later deleted the video from the social media platform.

Thankfully the internet saved the video and put it on Twitter!

In the video, the waitress can be seen doing an interpretive dance to Perry’s “E.T.”

Paull wrote on the TikTok, “POV: Katy Perry comes into your café and you don’t recognize her and argue over a table then she tips and hugs you for treating her like an everyday person.”

Clearly Paull’s mistake paid off… figuratively and literally.

“Katy Perry not getting recognise at a cafe in Queensland and told she had to wait for a table- turning it around and tipping the waiter, hugging her and thanking her for “treating me like a normal person!” Is such pick me energy I love it,” one person tweeted about the incident.

Paparazzi caught the interaction go down, which Paull used as proof that this really happened.

Paull did not reveal how much of a tip Perry left her, but it was enough to brighten her day.

Last month, Perry opened up about motherhood and how Bloom helped her embrace it.

Daisy is the singer’s first child and Bloom’s second. He has a son, Flynn, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.

During a May appearance on Chelsea Handler’s podcast series “Dear Chelsea,” the 37-year-old Santa Barbara native revealed how Bloom’s heartwarming personality changed her life.

During her interview with Handler, the “American Idol” judge confessed that for a long time, she believed motherhood was not in the cards for her because she always felt disconnected from her maternal side.

The “Roar” artist explained that watching the “Carnival Row” star raise his son helped her realize the beauty of being a parent.

Perry jokingly said, “So that definitely, primally influenced me — something inside of me said, ‘You, mid-30s. This man is nice. Must breed.'”

As for how she felt about raising her 20-month-old daughter with the Hollywood heartthrob, the doting mother described the experience as the “best decision” she had ever made.
