The Kar-Jenner women defeated BC in a court of law back in May.
The former fiancée of Rob Kardashian sued the famous family for defamation on claims they spoke ill of her to producers at the E! Network which resulted in “Rob & Chyna” getting canceled.
Blac Chyna was suing the family for $100 million.
Blac Chyna Trial Will Be Part Of Season 2 Of ‘The Kardashians’
A Los Angeles County judge found the family NOT GUILTY of defaming Blac Chyna.
The season one finale of “The Kardashians” aired on Thursday, June 16, a little over a month after their legal victory against BC. ‘
As you can imagine, cameras have been rolling on the family non-stop since filming on season one wrapped last year, and the drama surrounding the trial was caught on tape.
Executive producer, Danielle King, recently appeared on Deadline’s “Crew Call with Anthony D’Alessandro” podcast.
King explained the trial drama unfolded naturally on camera.
“We weren’t filming it,” she said. “We just got snippets along the way and it ended up unfolding into this really compelling story.”
The Trial Became A Compelling Storyline
The EP revealed the family requested the trial not be filmed for the show; however, the topic of the trial came up in conversation which was filmed.
“They have boundaries. They’ll say, ‘We don’t want this shot.'” King explained. “I absolutely respect that. But then there will end up being a conversation about it in another time we’re shooting and we’ll flesh that out in one way, shape or form. Maybe we didn’t cover the initial part of a conversation, but then it comes up organically in a different scene.”
“The Kardashians” EP said season two will be here sooner than we think!
Season 2 Of The Show Will Be Here Sooner Than You Know It!
“You won’t have to wait another year,” she insisted while adding that the goal is to finish filming by the end of June.
Kris Jenner joined King on the podcast.
“The beautiful thing of a streaming network is that we can wrap these episodes and get it to the viewers as soon as possible,” the matriarch said. “They feel like they’re following along and not trying to catch up with something that happened six or eight months ago.”
Fans have been curious if Pete Davidson will make an in the flesh appearance on season two to which King said that’s entirely up to Kim.
The former ‘SNL’ star made a few vocal cameos in the season one, but he never physically appeared on the show.
Pete Is TBD For Season Two!
Granted, filming took place when Kim and Pete’s relationship first took off, and Kim was very coy about giving too much away about her relationship in the early episodes of season one.
During an appearance on “Ellen” before it went off the air, Kim did say that Pete could make an appearance in the second season if he so chooses.
