Lori Loughlin, popularly known for her role on ABC’s “Full House” and Netflix’s sequel “Fuller House,” was recently spotted at a red carpet event following the famed college admission scandal.
As you may know, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison and was released last December following the 2019 debacle involving admissions bribery.
Now, the 57-year-old star is spreading her wings by making her first red carpet appearance post-scandal at DesignCare 2022 Gala in Los Angeles.
Lori Loughlin Graces First Red Carpet Ceremony In Three Years
Daily Mail shared that Loughlin’s recent red carpet appearance would be her first in three years, and she made up for her past absences by dressing in style for the event.
She graced the ceremony in a stunning long-sleeved ocean blue dress, complementing it with a pair of silver strappy heels and a boxlike clutch purse.
It should be noted that the DesignCare 2022 Gala, promoting actress’ Holly Robinson and her husband Rodney Peete’s charitable organization, the HollyRod Foundation, aimed at helping families affected by a diagnosis of autism or Parkinson’s Disease.
Loughlin wore her dark blonde tresses down and parted at the event, marking her red carpet debut since appearing at The Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s Beverly Hills gala in February 2019.
That same year, she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying admissions corrector Rick Singer $500,000 to make plans for their daughters to be recruited to the University of Southern California’s rowing team.
The celebrities’ daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, had no background in the sport, but the parents seemed unconcerned about that.
In May 2020, the couple pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to the case, and Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail alongside a $150,000 fine and 150 hours of community service.
She began her jail time at a federal prison in Dublin, California, in October 2020 and was emancipated in December of the same year.
Her husband, however, got a five-month sentence with a $250,000 fine and 250 hours of community service.
He started his imprisonment in November 2020 and was transferred to house detainment in April 2021, about one month before the end of his sentence.
The mother-of-two has kept a fairly low profile since her prison release, as she previously appeared at a February party hosted by famous socialite Kris Jenner.
After the scandal, she also bagged her first acting gig by reprising her “When Calls the Heart” role as Abigail Stanton in the second season of the show’s sequel “When Hope Calls.”
The Blast reported last September that Loughlin was set to make a guest appearance in the two-part premiere titled “When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas.”
She was formerly featured on the first six seasons of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart” but was unfortunately removed upon her apprehension in May 2019.
The channel released a statement at the time, stating that they were no longer partnering with Loughlin and had ended the “development of all productions” that aired on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving her.

The unfortunate admission debacle also prevented her from being included in further episodes of Netflix’s spinoff series “Fuller House.” She was absent in the fifth and final seasons of the show.
Following the “When Calls the Heart” actress’ release from prison, her husband was not yet considered a free man; nonetheless, she was focused on paving a better future, different from the scandalous past.

On a January episode of Loughlin’s second daughter Olivia Jade’s “Conversations with Olivia Jade” podcast, Olivia reflected on her privileged life growing up and her good grades despite the college admission scandal.
The Blast reported that she said, “I am super aware that I’ve been given opportunities because of my parents and that I live a very blessed and fortunate and privileged life.” Olivia added:
“But then there’s also a part of me that feels… it’s tricky. It’s hard to speak on because I know that to the average human, I have it easy. I know that to myself as well.”
She further revealed that despite misconceptions about her, she put in a lot of work to start her YouTube channel and excel in her academic career.
People believed the social media influencer must have “failed school,” but she assured her fans otherwise, saying that she “had straight A’s and strived hard while in high school.
