After working together in "Eternals", Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie will soon share the same set again, although this one has got nothing to do with being a superhero.

Hayek has been roped into Jolie's directorial venture, where the two will also lead the movie, and she's super excited, calling it a "dream come true". In a world where many celebrities often clash with each other over real or imagined slights, it's cool to see two popular stars raising each other, instead.

Deadline has confirmed that Hayek is on board Angelina Jolie's debut movie from her three-year deal with Fremantle. Along with Hayek and Jolie, who will lead, the film also stars Demián Bichir, best known for movies like "The Nun" and "The Hateful Eight."

"Without Blood" will be Jolie’s fifth directorial venture, but the first under her Fremantle mega-deal, which will see the "Eternals" star not only produce, direct and star in a slate of films, but also some TV series and documentaries.

The movie "Without Blood" is based on the international bestselling novel by Alessandro Baricco, and Amazon describes it as: 'in an unnamed place and time – Manuel Roca's enemies hunt him down to kill him, they fail to discover Nina, his youngest child, hidden in a hole beneath his farmhouse floor. After this carnage Tito, one of the murderers, discovers Nina's trapdoor. Enthralled by the sight of Nina's perfect innocence, he keeps quiet. By the time she has grown up, Nina's innocence will have bloomed into something else altogether..."

So who will play Nina, Jolie, or Hayek, remains to be seen...

Jolie, meanwhile also stated, "I’m honored to be here in Italy to bring this very special material to film, and to have been entrusted by Alessandro Baricco with the adaptation of his book — with its unique poetry and emotion and way of looking at war, and the questions it poses about what we search for after trauma or loss or injustice.”

Salma Hayek Felt Angelina Is Her 'Soul Sister'

In a 2021 interview with Elle, Salma Hayek spoke about how she and Angelina Jolie have bonded together, "Angie was different. I discovered a soul sister who is similar to me in so many ways. I felt like I’d known her for my entire life. I got to know her a little better than everyone else, and it’s very precious to me."

Jolie has also given similar positive statements, writing, "I just wanted to be a part of this family", speaking about the female cast of "Eternals."

Jolie also spoke about her sisterhood with Hayek, saying: "A lot of times as an actress, you're that individual strong woman, or you have one sister; you don't often have this family where you really get to know women and see all the different strengths." Jolie also felt Hayek's strength lay in "motherhood and power."

The two also celebrated Hayek's birthday, where the Mexican actress had Jolie shove her face into her birthday cake, as part of a Mexican tradition known as "La Mordida". Although we have to admit, Jolie looked mortified after the deed was done.
