Cardi B Is Amazed At How Fast Her Son Wave Is Growing, Shares Adorable Photos

Rapper Cardi B cannot imagine how time has flown since she welcomed her son in September 2021. At the time, the "WAP" crooner took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans.

Despite her high-profile status, she refused to disclose his name or share pictures for the longest time. She eventually succumbed to the persuasion of fans and posted an overly enlarged picture of her son's eyeballs.

However, it'd appear that the rapper is over that now and is prepared to constantly show off her adorable son. She recently did this in a post that served to celebrate her son at nine months.

The 29-year-old rapper took to her Instagram to share a picture montage of her son, Wave, on Sunday, where she expressed amazement at how fast her little one was growing.

"Happy 9 months Wave!!" Cardi B captioned the montage of shots, adding a wave and emotional emoji. "My baby growing too fast on me."

Baby Wave could be seen wearing all-blue overalls with a gold chain around his neck in one of the pictures while he flashes a happy grin for the camera. In another, Wave was featured lying down and sucking his thumb.

As announced by the rapper, she and her husband Offset welcomed their second child on September 4, 2021. The rapper posted the exciting news alongside a photo of her cradling the baby boy and Offset sitting next to her.

"9/4/21," Cardi captioned the sweet family photo, adding several baby-centered emojis. "We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son," the couple disclosed in a statement shared with People magazine. "He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."

The rapper initially disclosed the news of her pregnancy while performing with her husband on the stage at the BET awards. Following the end of the performance, she showed her burgeoning baby bump.

In the months following Wave's birth, he was largely kept off the media. In March, CardiB gave fans a teaser into her son's appearance as she tweeted an overly enlarged picture of her son's eyeballs while adding, "that's all ya'll will get." 

It wasn't until April this year that CardiB shared photos of her youngest child on Instagram and revealed his name.

She shared a picture of her seven-month-old son at the time donning a baby blue puffer jacket, white kicks, and a matching beanie. He was featured to be sitting in a comfy rocker.

The son, whose name his father revealed as Wave Set Cephus, also wore an iced-out chain with a diamond-encrusted wave pendant.

On Twitter, the "I Like It Like That" rapper posted a video on how the pair came about the name given to their son, adding that it was Offset that suggested the name.

"When 'Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME !" the "Bodak Yellow" crooner tweeted.

The rapper and her husband graced the cover of Essence's latest magazine issue. She shared a snap of her outfit, which comprised a stylish brood and pink tulle gowns.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen for our family and me," she shared on Instagram and added, "I love having a huge family with all of our kids, and I'm grateful that we are making our blended family work." We're pleased to make your acquaintance, Wave!

In a voice note that she posted in May, the "UP" rapper shared that while she's been making efforts to make new music, she's been experiencing some "technical difficulties."

Although she didn't get into the details of the technical difficulties, she mentioned that they weren't serious and would be able to talk about them soon enough.

"I seen a lot of y'all talking shit like, 'Oh she doesn't feed us,'" Cardi B said. "So when I put what I'm a [sic] put out, I'm a talk more about it because clearly, I can't talk about it now. But I really had technical difficulties with my latest project. I had not one, not two, but like three technical difficulties on the music that I've been working on that had to be done and taken care of before I put it out. Clearly I can't talk about it now but when things come out, that's when I'm a talk about it. It's nothing, like, major or crazy. Yeah, we'll figure it out because I know you guys want that and I'm gonna give it to you, Okay? Okay."
