The Grammy Award-winning rapper, actress, and mother, Cardi B, added tattoo artistry to her list of professions after she released a recent episode of her Facebook Watch series “Cardi Tries.”
The episode showed the 29-year-old and husband Offset in a cute Valentine’s bonding session as she tried to tattoo for the first time, using him as her first model. Please keep reading to see how it turned out and how Offset felt about her drawing skills.
Cardi Doesn’t Know How To Draw
Cardi promoted the sweet episode in a clip she posted before its release. “Hey guys, I’m going to do something crazy for Valentine’s Day for my husband,” she explained excitingly, “I’m going to give him a tattoo, you know, I wanna do something really special, so make sure you guys check out this episode where me and Set are getting tatted.”

The episode showed the couple walking into the tattoo shop where her husband usually goes. The rapper looked concerned when Cardi told him about her wish. Not only did she want a matching tattoo with him, but she wanted to tattoo him herself. “You’re supposed to trust me; I’m your wife!” Cardi said to him, then Offset replied reassuringly, “I trust you,” “but baby, you don’t know how to draw,” he continued.
The couple did several practice rounds on dummy skins while Nico Hurtado, Offset’s usual tattoo artist, guided them until their hands were stable enough. Cardi then proceeded to tattoo the “9/20/17,” which are the numbers of their wedding date on her husband’s hand.
The End Result Was Cute
Cardi was super excited about the result and was proud of her drawing skills. “Actually, I did pretty good!” She said as she proved her husband wrong and showed fans that she could actually draw. She also noted that she was proud of achieving everything she put her mind to. “What can I not do? I could do everything. Like, I could put my mind to something, and I can really do it!”
Not only was Cardi happy, but Offset was also excited about his new ink. When it was Cardi’s turn to get tattooed by her husband, she seemed more bothered than the “Bad and Boujee” rapper. However, the result was beautiful in the end, and the two are now a little cuter with their matching tattoos.
Cardi Has Previously Shared An Interest In Tattooing
Fans were not surprised as Cardi has made it evident that she wanted to explore the tattooing world in the past. She showed her love for the art when she shared before and after pictures of her thigh tattoo a couple of years ago, and in January, she revealed to fans on Twitter that she had a conviction to get a tattoo of her son.

The star, who also has a three-year-old daughter named Kulture, said, “Random but …. I’m 1% close to tatting my son’s name on my face….I really really wanna do it!” Fans have now added tattoos to Cardi’s list of love languages.
Cardi Is In The Valentine’s Spirit
Cardi seemed to be getting into Valentine’s spirit recently, as she shared a clip in a heart-shaped hairstyle for fans on IG, with the caption “My hair: yes or no? Would you guys go to the club with your hair like this?”
The clip showed Cardi rocking her black straight hair, which was parted in a heart shape and swooped to the side. She posed with her head bent down and formed a heart shape with her hands.
Cardi’s obviously a fan of hearts as this wasn’t the first time she made a heart-themed hairstyle. The star posted a clip on Instagram In August which featured her new pink heart-shaped hair and asked her followers, “Ya like my hair?”
