Four months after Cardi B emerged victorious in her defamation case against blogger Tasha K, the latter is now fighting back.

Per reports, Tasha K, whose real name is LaTasha Kebe, has filed an appeal, asking that the rapper's $4 million victory be thrown out of court because of particular reasons.

Tasha K's appeal doesn't come as a surprise as the famous YouTuber hinted at a fightback when the verdict was given back in January.

In the brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the blogger's lawyers asked that the verdict in Cardi's favor should be overturned because a piece of vital evidence was excluded by the judge.

Tasha's attorneys argue that Judge William Ray who ruled over the case overlooked key evidence about Cardi's "character" that influenced the jury's decision.

"The jury heard a very lopsided presentation of evidence and, because they did not get to learn who the plaintiff truly is, the jury returned a general verdict for the Plaintiff, against both Defendants," read an excerpt of Tasha's filing.

At the time of the trial, judge Ray put aside the supposed evidence because it could be prejudicial against Cardi and had no bearing in the case.

It's unsure what evidence Tasha's team is bringing forward, but at the start of the trial, both parties argued if it was necessary for the jury to hear about Cardi's criminal charges due to an altercation in a nightclub and her alleged affiliation with a gang.

The YouTuber's attorney also claimed that the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's lawyer failed to prove that Tasha acted with "actual malice" as regards the content she posted about Cardi.

The blogger Argues That Her Claims About Cardi B Were True

As you might know, the defamation case which began in 2019 came to a victorious end for Cardi in January when the jury found Tasha guilty on three counts of invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and defamation.

Tasha K was then ordered to pay $2.5 million in damages and $1.3 million in legal fees amounting to almost $4 million. Also, in a recent update about the case, judge Ray filed an injunction instructing Tasha to delete all videos and posts about the "Hustlers" actress.

Cardi took Tasha to court following several of her YouTube videos painted the "WAP" rapper in an unflattering light.

The blogger made numerous claims about Cardi including that she cheated on her husband Offset, contracted STIs during her time as a stripper, and performed several lewd acts for her clients.

Now, in her appeal, Tasha's attorneys allege that her claims weren't fabricated. A particular video where Tasha accused Cardi of performing sex acts with "beer bottles on f—ing stripper stages" was cited as proof.

The blogger's lawyers argued that Tasha had seen a video on a pornography site of a woman who looked like Cardi doing those things. Hence, the problem was with the pornography site and not Tasha.

"There was no evidence that any of Ms. Kebe’s stories about Plaintiff were fabricated by Ms. Kebe, were a product of Ms. Kebe’s imagination, were based wholly on an unverified anonymous call, or were so inherently improbable that only a reckless person would have put them in circulation," wrote Tasha's lawyers.

Cardi is yet to publicly comment on Tasha's appeal but it is believed her lawyers would respond soon.

Back in February, The Blast reported that Tasha K spoke out about the verdict in her first interview since the case was settled.

During an appearance on "All Blk," she confessed that she didn't have the $4 million needed to pay off Cardi. "I ain’t got it! Don’t ask me for no money," the YouTuber declared.

Despite having a YouTube channel with a staggering 1 million subscribers, Tasha insisted she couldn't afford such money as she had two kids to provide for.

During the interview, Tasha promised to file an appeal and we can see that she has stayed true to her promise. Only time will tell how things play out between both teams.
