Shanna Moakler Auctions Travis Barker Engagement Ring, Hopes It'll Find 'New Home'

Shanna Moakler is saying goodbye for good to her chapter with ex-husband Travis Barker.

Last weekend, Barker and Kourtney Kardashian officially became man and wife after a lavish 3-day celebration in Portofino Italy, following a legal union in California weeks back.

With her former spouse now officially off the market, Moakler is hoping to move into a new phase of life without any baggage — even if it's an expensive engagement ring.

While speaking to US Weekly, Moakler revealed that she was auctioning the ring the Blin-182 drummer gave to her when he popped the question.

"I think it is a beautiful piece and truly was my dream ring. However, that chapter of my life is over," the 1995 Miss New York USA pageant winner told the publication.

Moakler shared that although she loved the precious jewelry and it brought her immense joy at a point in her life, that wasn't the case anymore.

She declared, "I hope it will find a new home and continue to bring someone as much happiness as it once did to me. It’s truly an iconic ring."

The lovely ring features a diamond-encrusted band with a large, solitaire stone, cost about $160,0o0 and Moakler is hoping to get close to the cost price with her auction.

The bid starts from $51,000, but the former beauty queen wants it to sell for around $120,000. She has teamed up with the selling partner Worthy.com to run the auction and it would last for five days from May 27 to May 31.

As for the eyebrow-raising time of the auction — a week after her ex-husband remarries — Moakler assures that it is simply just a coincidence 

She explained, "I’m sure people would assume that [it’s related to the wedding], but I simply wanted to find a proper seller and Worthy.com is the most professional and I know will give this piece the attention it deserves."

Although Moakler and Barker's 4-year marriage didn't end on good terms, the reality star has nothing but good thoughts towards the father of her kids and his new wife.

Initially, Moakler didn't seem pleased with the idea of the drummer dating the Kardashian but she has since gotten on board. Back in October, the model dragged Barker and Kardashian for their recreation of the movie "True Romance" for Halloween.

Apparently, "True Romance" played a huge role in Moakler's romance with Barker and she didn't appreciate that.

"I’m not bothered by them and I don’t even find them even scandalous or whatever. Like, if you’re in love and you want to show that off, go for it. [But] I’m not recycling from my past relationship," the "Meet The Barkers" alum shared.

She continued, "What was weird is that they were posting about a movie [True Romance] that Travis and I basically bonded over. I called him Clarence in the movie. We named our daughter after the character Alabama in the movie."

Luckily, all that is behind her. During her interview with US Weekly, she shared her thoughts on the couple's recent nuptials.

“I wish the happy couple a lovely marriage. I will continue to only want the best for my children,” the former model said. “It was a beautiful gesture to include my children in such a gorgeous affair.”

Moakler expressed joy at seeing her daughters Atiana De La Hoya, 23, and Alabama Barker, 16, and son Landon Barker, 18, looking happy and experiencing the beautiful city of Portofino.

Last month, the "Pacific Blue" actress made headlines after she showed support to her ex-husband and his woman after they revealed on an episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians" that they were undergoing IVF.

As The Blast reported, Moakler gave the lovebirds a big thumbs up, saying, "I think if that is a desire between the two of them, then that’s fantastic. I don’t have any issues with that. Their personal relationship is nothing I get involved in.”

She concluded, "I have never seen an episode of the Kardashians, and I won’t start now. However, I wish them nothing but success. As long as my children are happy, that is all I care about. My ex’s relationship really isn’t any of my business but I wish them continued happiness."
