Will Smith’s “slap heard round the world” is still a hot topic of discussion.

Smith’s physical altercation with Chris Rock will put the 94th Annual Oscars ceremony in the history books.

Since Smith smacked Rock across the face on March 27, many celebrities and friends of the Hollywood icons have weighed in on both of their actions.

Most recently, Marlon Wayans sat down with Big Boy on “Big Boy TV,” and revealed his take on Smith’s stage stampede.

“If somebody’s walking on my stage, I know you that ain’t coming up to give me five,” Wayans said. "Like at a point, you gotta go, 'Oh yeah he's trying to harm me.'"

He continued telling Big Boy, “You gotta protect yourself. If that was me, I got an elbow for you. It’s a fight, you come on my stage, we fighting.”

Wayans went on to explain that as a comedian and a comedic actor, jokes are par for the course, “that’s what we do.”

Jokes Are What Comedians Do!

“You don't go to a comedy show and be mad when they tell jokes, that's what you there for,” he said. “I think people in their right mind know better, I don't think people gonna go, 'I'm gonna get up and slap you.”

In the event you don’t recall, Smith stormed the stage after Rock made a “G.I. Jane”  joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head.

Smith initially laughed at the joke while Jada rolled her eyes.

Rock replied, “It was a ‘G.I. Jane Joke.’”

Wayans did speak to the Academy Award winner following the event.

"I was like, ‘Hey brother you may want to go get you about three hours of therapy,’” he said. “15 hours this week, you need to sit down with a therapist and have a long talk. Something is going on with you.’ And that wasn’t him. See, I don’t have that kind of pressure. He’s been Black excellence for 30 years, I’ve been Black alrightness, ain’t too much pressure. … People expect me to do dumb stuff, but him? Nah, not Will."

Not to be biased, the “White chicks” actor also reached out to Rock following the Oscars.

They shouted his name as he pulled up to his hotel. Smith was seen smiling and waving to fans and even posed for a few photographs. It doesn’t seem that the “Pursuit of Happiness” actor is there for a movie, as several of his upcoming projects have been put on hold after he slapped Rock at the 94th annual Academy Awards, earning a 10-year ban from all Academy events.
