Ant Anstead Calls Himself 'Lucky' In Moving Birthday Tribute To GF Renée Zellweger

Ant Anstead knows how lucky he is, and he wants everyone to know! 

The motor specialist who began dating Renée Zellweger after meeting her on the set of his Discovery + show "Celebrity IOU: Joyride" last June brought on the charm in celebrating her 53rd birthday.

The lovestruck boyfriend took to his social media with a tribute to the "Bridget Jones' Diary" actress that was sure to melt the hearts of internet users worldwide.

On Monday, April 25, the ageless Zellweger turned 53-years-old, and she received a shower of love from her doting partner.

The "Christina On The Coast" star updated his personal Instagram Story with a monochrome selfie of him and his lover. She wrapped her arms around him while they smiled happily at the camera.

Anstead showed he is head over heels for his girlfriend of a year with his congratulatory note, which he wrote on the image. The post included an adorable nickname and read:

"Happy birthday to this beautiful lady Ren you are PURE CLASS! I know how lucky I am."

The week before, the former "For the Love of Cars with Philip Glenister" co-presenter took to his social media to commemorate their first anniversary. 

Anstead uploaded an image of him and his sweetheart smiling together on the set of his famous "Celebrity IOU: Joyride" show via his Instagram page.

The "Building Cars Live" star placed a hand around the two-time British Academy Film Awards winner, who sported a blue zip-up hoodie over a pretty pink floral top and khaki trousers.

Anstead, on the other hand, wore a black T-shirt and jeans. He explained the image in his caption, writing:

"WOW! This just popped up in my memories. One year ago today! Sat on the back of a fire engine on the final day of filming having handed two amazing men a car as a thank you from Ren."

"The Lost Lotus: Restoring a Race Car" star concluded his anniversary post by noting that he found it amazing what can happen in just one year.

Zellweger opened up about the juicy details of her sweet relationship with Anstead, including how and when she met him.

The Blast disclosed last March that the "The Thing About Pam" actress spoke to Harpers Bazaar about the events that led up to their introduction, which she romantically described as "serendipity." 

Zellweger met her lover on the set of  “Celebrity IOU: Joyride" after she was inspired by a famous actor's appearance on the program.

The 53-year-old said, “It was around 'Judy.' Late at night, and I remember I watched the ‘Property Brothers’ with Brad Pitt.”

Zellweger referred to a “Celebrity IOU” episode Pitt shot with Drew and Jonathan Scott in which the actor nominated his makeup artist for a garage remodel on the show.

After enjoying the program, the actress felt compelled to help Jerome and Jerald Cowan, twin nurses who cared for her dear friend, publicist Nanci Ryder, during her fight with ALS. Ryder died in 2020 at the age of 67.

Zellweger met the show's presenter while shooting an episode in June, and the two connected right away and have been inseparable ever since.

The couple went public with their relationship with an Instagram post in September, but they keep private about the insights into their love life.

Anstead told the outlet, “Renée and my relationship is something that’s really private. It’s something I’m not really willing to talk too much about. It’s really early in our relationship and I don’t want to put any pressure on that.”

Although fans may not be privy to the depth of their relationship, the lovebirds treat fans to photos of each other on social media. Paparazzi also offer a stream of pictures of the couple.

Zellweger and Anstead are also acquainted with each other's families. The actress made the first move by meeting up with the car expert's older kids, Amelie and Archie, who he shares with ex-wife Louise over Christmas.

The loving girlfriend also met up with Anstead’s young son Hudson, whom he co-parents with his ex-wife Christina Haack.
