The Johnny Depp - Amber Heard court battle is getting murkier by the day, and now a makeup brand has stepped in, calling out Amber Heard on a lie. The brand in question, Milani Cosmetics took to TikTok to tell all that a certain statement made by Amber Heard's lawyer, is in fact, fake.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's romance went south rather quickly and the legal drama going on shows just how a relationship can unravel and turn into a mud-slinging fest. After meeting in 2009 on the set of the movie "The Rum Diary", Depp and Heard hooked up only after he broke up with long-time partner Vanessa Paradis. In 2014, the couple got engaged followed by a private wedding in 2015.

15 months later Amber Heard headed to divorce court and settled on a $7 million out-of-court settlement, the proceeds of which Heard allegedly donated to charity.

At the time, the couple released a joint statement, "Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm."

This changed soon after Heard wrote an op-ed piece where she spoke about the treatment of women in domestic abuse cases but did not mention Depp.

Depp sued Heard for $50 million, accusing her of ruining his career and reputation, and Heard in turn, is counter-suing for $100 million. The trial of Depp's case against Heard began in 2022 and is currently the drama we see.

Meanwhile, in 2020, Depp sued the publisher of The Sun for libel in the UK over a 2018 article that claimed he was violent against Heard but failed in his legal battle.

Amber Heard Caught In A Lie?

Heard has always claimed that Depp had been abusive to her, and had even taken a restraining order against him when she filed for divorce. During his opening statement earlier in the week, Heard's lawyer spoke about the same and also how, Heard had to put on makeup to cover her bruises, many a time.

As evidence, they presented a Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit in court. He stated, "This was what she used. She became very adept at it. You're going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises as they developed in the different coloring and how she would use to touch those up to be able to cover those."

It was suggested that she used this very kit throughout her relationship with Johnny Depp. It now seems the brand, Milani is calling Heard out, on a technical detail that seems to have been missed by her and her team of very expensive lawyers.

The cosmetic brand, Milani Cosmetics took to TikTok to post a video that has since gone viral... The caption read, "You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!”

The alleged abuse claimed by Heard happened from 2014-to-2016 so obviously, this is not the corrector kit used to hide any such alleged bruises.

The text over the video read: "Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017."

The video itself showed Depp and Heard in the courtroom, and in the background, the Backyardigans’ song “International Super Spy” plays. The video then cuts to Milani headquarters, where a young woman holds a company product catalog, open to the page describing the makeup compact. The camera then zooms into the slide that definitively notes the product’s 2017 release date, meaning Heard could not be using that particular palette during her relationship with Depp.

The brand also added an explanation in the comments, saying, "We are here to provide the facts of the case."

While it's going to take a while for the court proceedings to play out into any kind of decision, the world seems to be split right into the middle over Depp vs. Heard.
