Megan Thee Stallion is ready to tell her truth to the entire world. The superstar rapper finally addresses the infamous 2020 shooting involving fellow rapper Tory Lanez.
Although the case is currently in court, Megan is not shying away from speaking up, and a grand interview on national TV is the right platform.
Megan Thee Stallion To Discuss 2020 Shooting With Gayle King
The "Savage" rapper is set to sit down with Gayle King for Monday, April 25th's episode of "CBS Mornings" in an explosive interview to tell her side of the story.
As you might know, Lanez and Megan made headlines in August 2020 when she publicly accused him of shooting her in the foot in July during an argument when they were heading back from a party at Kylie Jenner's home.
Although the "WAP" rapper didn't report Lanez to authorities due to fear of the police violence that was dominating the nation back then, the "Say It" rapper was later arrested in connection to that incident for possessing a concealed weapon and assault.
Lanez has vehemently denied all claims of shooting Megan in the foot, pleading not guilty to an assault charge while she insists that he committed the offense. However, she has never fully gotten into what happened on that fateful day until now.
In an emotional teaser shared of the upcoming sit-down, the Texas native was seen fighting back the tears as she recalled what happened.
The 1-minute-17-second clip began with King asking if there was an argument in the car, to which Megan responded, "It was an argument because I was ready to go, and everybody else wasn't ready to go. But that's like normal friend stuff."
The 27-year-old explained that the argument was the usual "silly" stuff they often fussed about. Then, taking a long pause to hold back her tears, Megan continued, explaining that she didn't do anything to anger anybody.
"I never put my hands on anybody," a tearful Megan declared. "I never raised my voice too loud. Like this was one of them times where it was like, it shouldn't have gotten this crazy."
The 'Sweetest Pie' Rapper Confirms Lanez Called Her B***Ch
The two-time Grammy Award winner explained that everything moved so fast when she alighted the vehicle. Megan seemingly confirmed the testimony of an LAPD detective who claimed Lanez uttered some shocking words at Megan before shooting her.
"All I hear is this man screaming. And he said dance b***ch. And he started shooting, and I'm just like 'oh my God,'" Megan said as she teared up.
She confessed that the Canadian rapper shot at her three times, and she was scared. When King interrupted to find out if Lanez was shooting from inside the car, Megan explained he was "standing up over the window."
Megan recalled that she tried hard not to move as Lanez allegedly shot at her as she was afraid the bullet might hit something important and kill her.
King then asked, "Were you afraid for your life at that time?" Megan in her response, admitted she was "really scared" as she had never been shot at before.
In a subsequent teaser of the upcoming interview, King was seen asking Megan how her life has changed since the tragic incident, and she answered, "I have nightmares about this, so I'm just always trying to hold it together."
The 'Say It' Rapper Was Arrested For Violating Protective Order
In a recent update about the assault case, Lanes was arrested during his recent appearance in a Los Angeles court for violating a protective order set against him.
As The Blast reported, the 29-year-old was remanded to custody and asked to post a bail of $350,000 for "violation of discovery protective order and personal contact order."

Prosecutors argued that Lanez's rants on social media influenced the judge's verdict as it was believed to be a direct address at Megan.
The compromising tweet read, "Good d*** had me f***ing 2 best friends … and I got caught … that’s what I apologized for … it’s sick how u Spun it tho."
After meeting the bail conditions, Lanez was instructed by the court "not to mention the complaining witness in this case in any social media." The trial date has since been set for September 14.
