Things Continue To Escalate Between Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion 

The feud between singer, rapper, and record producer, Tory Lanez and rapper Megan thee stallion, which began in July 2020, topped trend tables for weeks and gave many fans mixed feelings about the situation. It also led to Lanez's arrest, which surprised fans and got them talking.

Lanez actively sourced for support and backing from fans before his formal court appearance as his trial date came closer. Fans saw this from his tweet on February 23rd, which fueled the quarrel between him and Megan. 

The 29-year-old accused Megan of being dishonest, and she replied to him in her now-deleted Instagram stories. Apparently, she was trying to keep the situation "off the internet," as she said in an Instagram live in August 2020. Read on to find out more about the situation.

When asked about the incident with Lanez during an interview with GQ magazine, Megan described it as the "worst experience of her life," and fans expected nothing less from a person with fresh gun wounds in her foot.

On July 11th, the "Body" rapper was hanging out with Kylie Jenner and Lanez at a poolside. Later that evening, they had to leave, but Megan felt uneasy about entering Lanez's SUV. She revealed to TMZ that she should've "trusted her first mind" and found a different way home. 

Unfortunately, the evening concluded with Lanez shooting Megan on her foot and hurting her while he shouted, "dance bitch." Sometime after, the gun was discovered in his car, and he was arrested for a felony count for having a hidden weapon in a vehicle. 

Though the 27-year-old Megan told the police that the injuries on her feet were from a glass cut, she revealed the true reason in an Instagram video. She explained that since the incident was happening during the worldwide George Floyd protest against police brutality, she was being protective of herself and her friends.

She was scared that she and her crew would become victims. Not only did Megan receive backlash from finally revealing the truth, but she was also the topic for several jokes. She was portrayed as the villain in her own victim story, even when she spoke out against Lanez's accusation tweets.

While it was announced that the trial was adjourned until April 5th, Rolling Stone noted that Megan was trying her best to battle down Lanez as he attempted to create a case against her on social media. 

On February 23rd, Lanez tweeted, referring to Megan, "u can't buy and tweet your way out of this one ..not today." Shortly after, Megan replied to the tweet with a now-deleted IG post. According to Daily Mail, the post was captioned "Lie yo way out of this," and the picture showed Lanez pleading with her "from the bottom of his heart" in a conversation via text.

Lanez denied this, claiming that he only apologized for sleeping with Megan and cheating on her with Kelsey Harris. Megan rebutted this and claimed that he was "putting a [wrong] narrative out" and rebuked him for making little of the shooting and harassment.

In an attempt to back Lanez, Dj Akademiks made a now-deleted tweet about a "breaking" update and claimed that Lanez's DNA was not seen on the weapon as confirmed in court. "It was revealed in court a few moments ago that Tory Lanez's DNA was not found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case." The tweet was deleted shortly after the hearing.

Megan was furious about the DNA claims and made sure her fans knew. She accused Akademiks of spreading fake news as the court process was yet to begin when he made the tweet.

"Y'all got breaking news 15 minutes before court started, and nobody has even been called in yet??" Megan said on Instagram. She even tagged him directly and asked, "Why are you lying?" "What did you gain?
