The film’s announcement comes as a surprise and offers Megan the opportunity to show off her funny side and her renowned musical talents.
The “Something For Thee Hotties” rapper took to her social media with the good news and expressed her nerves and excitement over her casting.
Megan Thee Stallion Announces Musical Comedy Casting
On Thursday, February 17, Megan updated her Instagram page to announce her casting in A24’s first-ever musical!
The “Make It Hot” artist uploaded a screenshot of an article showing that the movie is from Chernin Entertainment and titled “F*cking Identical Twins.”
The comedic production will feature stars such as Megan Mullally, Bowen Yang, and the film’s writers Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson.
Megan gushed about her casting in her caption, noting that she has secretly put her best efforts into the production. She wrote,
“Im so excited i feel so blessed i feel anxious lol i feel a bunch of sh*t😂 I really have been quietly putting in this work and i just cant wait for the hotties to see everything 💙💙💙.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Captain Hook” star will be making history as a member of the cast of A24’s first musical production.
The film company is responsible for critically acclaimed movies that left audiences raving, such as “Uncut Gems,” “Moonlight,” and “Midsommar.”
“F*cking Identical Twins” is R-rated as the title suggests, and actors, including Nathan Lane, will star alongside Megan under the direction of Larry Charles.
The film will be a “subversive” take on “The Parent Trap” and is based on the two-person stage show from Sharp, Jackson, and Jordan Klepper in 2014.

The outlet notes that the plot shows “two business adversaries who realize they’re identical twin brothers and decide to switch places to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again.”
The musical comedy will feature original songs by Karl Saint Lucy, Sharp, and Jackson. Marius De Vries of “CODA,” “La La Land,” and “Moulin Rouge!” will also serve as the executive music producer.
The film promises stellar soundtracks in the musical department as Fiora Cutler is also on board as the music supervisor who will work alongside de Vries to oversee the cast’s musical direction.
“F*cking Identical Twins” is still under production by Chernin Entertainment and co-financed with A24, which will handle the movie’s worldwide distribution.
