Kid Cudi Says That Kanye West Is 'Not My Friend' Despite Upcoming Collaboration

It seems that Kid Cudi and Kanye Westare still on the outs, despite a new collaboration coming out on Friday.
The two collaborated on a song for Pusha T’s upcoming album called “It’s Almost Dry.” Many thought that it meant that the two had reconciled after their beef, but it appears that’s not the case.

On Tuesday, Cudi – real name Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi – took to Twitter to clarify that he and the Yeezy designer still have bad blood.
“Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got w Pusha,” he tweeted. “I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye.”
“I am not cool w that man,” he added. “He's not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye -Scott”
Although the full tracklist for “It’s Almost Dry” hasn’t been related, Rolling Stone reported that it will also include Jay-Z, Don Toliver, and Lil Uzi Vert. Pharrell Williams co-produced the album, which will be released on Friday, April 22.
A Look Back At Kid Cudi & Kanye West’s Public Feud
The “Don’t Look Up” actor and the “Donda” rapper have been in several collaborations over the year. In 2018, they even released a joint album called “Kids See Ghosts.” However, they recently got into a public spat earlier this year.
Kid Cudi is friends with “Saturday Night Live” comedian Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Kanye let everybody know that he was cutting Cudi out of his “Donda 2” album due to his friendship with the “King of Staten Island.”

In a since-deleted Instagram post earlier this year, Ye wrote, “JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, CUDI WILL NOT BE ON DONDA BECAUSE HE’S FRIENDS WITH YOU KNOW WHO.”
Kid Cudi responded to his former friend on Twitter, saying, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”
Cudi addressed the feud on Instagram as well, writing, “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album you f---in dinosaur hahaha ? everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since i met u. ima pray for you brother.”
