Singer Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari are taking it easy now that the world knows that the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer is pregnant! On Monday, Britney announced the news in a confusing Instagram post. Sam took to Instagram later to confirm the news.
The power couple met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. They started dating that same year and became engaged about five years later in September 2021.
Sam seems to be looking forward to the birth of his first child. Britney was married to her ex-husband Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. Together, they had two boys: Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15. This will be the couple’s first child together and they can’t wait to add one more to their growing family!

It’s probably important to note here that Britney explained last week that she likes to call Sam her husband as a way to subtly shade sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, who usually posts about her husband in all caps, which is why Britney has been doing it.
Last week, she talked about how she loves to talk about wedding planning so they’re not married… yet. She hasn’t dropped a date for the wedding, and now that she’s pregnant, she hasn’t disclosed whether she plans to tie the knot before or after she gives birth.
In the video posted on Wednesday afternoon, Britney can be seen swirling and tumbling about in the water, looking like a mermaid before she rises to the surface. In another video cut, she can be seen trying to snog Sam Asghari underwater.
In the caption, she wrote, “Yesterday my HUSBAND and I went swimming …. I’m like a fish 🐠 … I go really deep then I have to remind myself that you have to come up for air 💨 !!! Psss … I heard water is the best exercise for babies 👶🏼👶🏼👶🏼 !!!”

The post gained over 100,000 likes in only a few minutes as fans were able to see Britney, who was freed of her stifling 13-year conservatorship last November, finally out and enjoying herself.

Earlier in the day, Britney released another long Instagram post where she opened up about some of her concerns about motherhood.
“With a baby on the way my thought this morning was ‘I’m so scared to make a mistake … Will I be thoughtful enough ??? Will I be instinctive enough ???’” she wrote.
After recalling a time when her son, Jayden got a high fever when he was only nine, Britney added, “God knows I’m no saint but the media destroyed me when I first became a mother.”
“My first record came out when I was 16 and I got pregnant at 24,” she explained. “I thought about it last night … I was a baby raising 2 babies with 17 cars outside my house !!! I didn’t know how to play the game … I didn’t even know how to dress or fix my hair !!! I was clueless and I wasn’t the brightest bulb on the tree either !!!”
She continued, “The media has always been EXTREMELY rude to me … so I woke up this morning saying to myself ‘do I need to do a podcast during this pregnancy instead of just therapy ???’ And I mean it !!!”
Fans would love it if Britney was to create a podcast based on all of her experiences. However, it’s worth noting that she still has a memoir in the works. With a baby on the way, a wedding to plan, and an upcoming memoir, it seems that Britney has a lot on her plate at the moment!
In the post, Britney said that it’s time for her to “indulge into thinking … books … makeup … classic movies … great conversations … and the best sex ever !!!”
Then Britney added, “Sex is great when you’re pregnant.” Oh, Britney!
