Kandi Burruss Says Her Husband And Mother Have 'Made Up Again For The Hundredth Time'

The "Real Housewives Of Atlanta" star, Kandi Burruss recently revealed in an interview with Insider that her husband Todd Tucker and Mother, Mama Joyce, have reconciled after their "little weird fight."

"It's gotten much better in the last couple of weeks," she explained to the publication while promoting her spinoff "Kandi and The Gang." "They had gotten back to being a little weird with each other, but recently they made up again for the hundredth time. So hopefully, we'll keep them on the right track."

Mama Joyce and Tucker have always been on a spree of altercations, but this time, Kandi and her husband could be heard arguing about finances in the newly released trailer.

In a scene, Mama Joyce was heard telling her daughter that Tucker "doesn't have the money to pay" off a condo in a private conversation. The drama escalated with Tucker accosting Burruss in front of their children and saying, "Her, your mama, and your family, y'all so disrespectful."

When the "RHOA" star got hitched to Tucker, fans watched as the animosity between Mama Joyce and Tucker grew increasingly worse. Kandi's mom had shown from the jump that she was no fan of Tucker. However, Kandi followed her heart and married the man she was in love with.

Before meeting Tucker, Kandi was engaged to be married to another man. The relationship ended because Kandi claimed her ex was tired of Mama Joyce's nose poking.

It didn't seem to stop even after she started seeing Tucker; it became worse. Mama Joyce accused Tucker of being a leech and living off Kandi while using her for his benefit. She also accused Tucker of an illicit affair with Kandi's friend. Things became tense that Kandi and her fiancé considered eloping to steer clear of her mother's problems.

Although they've expanded the family and business, Mama Joyce still has the same impression of her daughter's husband, being a leech and a philanderer.

While on the fourth season of "RHOA," Kandi joined her co-actors Sheree Whitfield, NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, and Phaedra Parks on a yearly trip. The trip was to South Africa, where she met Tucker, a line producer on the "RHOA" crew.

Tucker instantly approached her, despite it being forbidden by his superiors.

"I was trying to play it cool in Africa as it's against the rules to cross the line with the talent," Todd shared with Bravo. "In production, that's a big NO-NO! I loved her smile; she had a great butt! LOL! She seemed very humble and genuine."

One night after talking, Tucker sealed the conversation with a kiss. After, the pair became an official couple, and being with Kandi meant he had to leave the "RHOA" crew.

"He did end up quitting the show," Kandi told Glamour. "That was a big decision for him to have to make. He resigned, but then they came back and said they didn't want him to quit. He still works with the same production company, but he doesn't work on our show. It wasn't that much of a conflict because he didn't work on set."

Although their relationship has been saddled with hurdles and challenges, the two have managed to keep it going smoothly.

After the pair got married in 2014, Kandi and Tucker started working on OLG, a family restaurant that Kandi's family inspired. Four years later, the duo opened Blaze Steak and Seafood in Atlanta.

According to them, their secret to a successful partnership was communication.

"We are never disrespectful to each other — even when we're angry, it's only so far the conversation is going to go," Kandi added. "So, I think we know how to give each other that moment to cool down and then come back to it and try to compromise."

Long-standing fans of the show have watched the controversial relationship between Tucker and Mama Joyce play out and are sick and tired of it. Not only are they taking Tucker's side, but they are also holding Kandi responsible for being complicit in the drama by refusing to stand up to her mother.

"I like Kandi but I have to say: Kandi ALLOWS her mother to absolutely dog Todd out whenever she feels like it & she does absolutely nothing about it," a follower observed on Instagram. "She never has Todd's back when Mama Joyce disrespects him but he's constantly expected to just be the better person."

"Kandi, why do you want Todd to apologize when he has every right to be mad at your mother for the shit she's saying?! Defend your husband, girl and check your mother! If anyone should be apologizing, it's momma Joyce," another responded.

"I love Kandi but Mama Joyce gone be the reason why she & Todd gone get a divorce, remember this day. She's single & miserable just watch," another fan noted.
