Pamela Anderson Says ‘It’s Good Timing’
In a recent sit-down with the popular daytime show “Good Morning America,” Pamela revealed the unexpected news and explained her reason for agreeing to the role.
“It’s good timing,” she said, explaining why she is ready for the role. “My kids are grown. My kids are my biggest cheerleaders,” she said. “… I feel like it’s time. I need a challenge. I needed to do something. I needed this. I’ve been kind of gone for a while, you know, and I’m back.”
Although the upcoming production is Anderson’s first stint in Broadway, the Playboy star said she is not unnerved but rather ready to jump into this new phase of her life.
“You don’t know what you’re capable of until you try it. So that’s what I’m really curious about is what can I actually do? Because I kind of haven’t applied myself to much in my life, except for my children,” Anderson added.
“This is a really great opportunity for me. I’m just so blessed and lucky. I’m just jumping off the bridge into it and doing everything I can, and I’m surprising myself singing and dancing. The role is fantastic.”
Anderson Is Ready To Give The Role Her All
Anderson acknowledged her surprise at being given the opportunity to star in a recreation of the famous play when asked about the part. Good enough, the actress aspires to repay the showrunners’ faith in her by giving her all in the role and performing admirably.
“It’s just unbelievable that anyone even offered me this kind of role, so I’m gonna give it all I have. I’m not gonna let myself down; I’m not gonna let my family down. I feel like this is really a moment for me to shine. I’m doing this for myself, which is rare,” the actress promised.
Anderson Will Play Roxie In ‘Chicago’
While starring in “Chicago” is a new one for Anderson, the actress wants to draw strength from her “Baywatch” stint, saying, “I didn’t know if I was capable of that, now I don’t know if I’m capable of this. But I have a feeling I am. And I’m gonna go for it.”
Anderson, who plays Roxie, will join a long list of notable actors who have played the role. Ann Reinking, Ashlee Simpson Ross, Michelle Williams, and Renée Zellweger have all portrayed the part whose plot centers around the assassination of a man with whom she is having an affair, which eventually makes her famous.
Pamela Anderson Inked A Deal With Netflix To Tell Her Life Story
Away from her upcoming Broadway feature, Anderson recently revealed that she had signed a contract with Netflix that will allow her to narrate her life narrative in the form of a feature-length documentary. The film will be filmed by Ryan White of The Keepers fame and produced by Anderson’s son, Brandon Thomas Lee.
Pamela Anderson’s Netflix deal follows the Hulu premiere of “Pam & Tommy,” a limited series starring Pamela Anderson (Lily James). Anderson’s troubled relationship with Tommy Lee is explored in the drama, as is the emergence of a sex film involving the duo.
Anderson has allegedly expressed her dissatisfaction with the project and stated that she aims to correct several misconceptions in the Netflix version.
