Fans of Snoop Dogg and Call of Duty have plenty of reason to be excited.
Starting on April 1, the famous rapper is going to be appearing as a playable character in three Call Of Duty games… and no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke!
Snoop Dogg Says It’s ‘Dope’ To Be A Playable Character In ‘Call Of Duty’
Starting next month, Snoop Dogg will become a playable character in three different games in the franchise: Call of Duty Mobile, Vanguard, and Warzone. According to a statement on the game’s website, Snoop plugged the “fly features” that he would be bringing to the game.
“The D O Double G is back in Call of Duty and this time I’m in the freakin’ game!” he said. “Excited to be working with the COD team to bring some fly features for you all to enjoy. It’s dope….. y’all can play as me and get these sick items that have Snoop written all over them. Check it out.”
Starting on April 1, fans will be able to access Snoop Dogg in season 3 of Call of Duty: Mobile through a special Lucky Draw event. The Snoop Dogg Operator character in the mobile version of the game will see Snoop Dogg “decked out head-to-toe in a 24K gold embroidered outfit.”
Snoop Dogg will also have his own signature weapon. It’s based on “a fast-firing Legendary SMG that’s gold-plated and diamond-encrusted.” The weapon also has its own unique death effect and has the potential to become even “flashier” as players rack up eliminations.
Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle Will Come To ‘Call Of Duty’ Games A Week Later
Fans will have to wait until April 19 at 10 AM to access the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. This character will be separate from the Snoop Dogg Operator in Call of Duty: Mobile, according to a statement on the company’s website.
This new Snoop Dogg Operator bundle for Warzone and Vanguard is said to include ten items. Three of these items will be exclusive to Vanguard and will also include their own full Operator Progression track. Rewards for these 20 levels of Operator progression will include Weapon XP for Snoop’s preferred weapon from Vanguard. It will also include three alternate outfits for Snoop, as well as some other cosmetic items to dress up his character.
Believe it or not, this is actually not the first time that Snoop Dogg is appearing in Call of Duty. He had a voiceover role in the Snoop Dogg Voiceover Pack in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Snoop has recorded new lines for his brand new Call of Duty operator bundle.
This news comes only months after Snoop Dogg applied for a patent to sell his own hot dogs and sausages called “Snoop Doggs.”
Fans Can't Wait To Take A Bite Out Of Snoop Dogg!
In December, the hip-hop legend, born Calvin Broadus, applied for a federal trademark at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the term “Snoop Doggs.” According to the documents, Snoop said that he wanted to sell hot dogs and other types of sausages.
However, some fans are skeptical that Snoop Dogg is actually going to follow through with his hot dog endeavor. Back in 2011, Snoop had also filed a trademark application for “Snoop Scoops” to open up his own ice cream shop and get “Snoop Scoops” ice cream in grocery stores around the country. He later abandoned the idea.
But Does Snoop Dogg Even Like Hot Dogs?
It’s interesting that Snoop Dogg would decide to make a hot dog chain because he said was never going to eat a hot dog again back in 2016. During a segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, Snoop Dogg watched a step-by-step process of how something was made and then he had to guess what he was watching being made.
During one part of the video, he thought that he saw sheep hair being thrown into the concoction. After guessing things like malt chocolate and beef jerky, he finally settled on hot dogs.
“This is a hot dog!?” he demanded. “Oh cuz, I ain’t never eating a motherf—ing hot dog! If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good.”
