Craig Conover 'Felt Terrible' That Kristin Cavallari Got Dragged Into 'Summer House' Drama

Kristin Cavallariwasn't supposed to be in the "Summer House." However, she kept popping up in scenes of the sixth season of the series, whose cast consisted of Lindsay Hubbard, Paige Desorbo, Kyle Cooke, and occasionally, Craig Conoverand Austen Kroll.
There had been romantic speculations around Conover, Kroll, and Cavallari, and while Cavallari staunchly debunked every rumor about a romantic relationship, they have again resurfaced on the "Summer House."
"We had a great relationship, and I thought it was unfair that she was thrown into a show that she's not on," Conover told E! News about Kristin. He also explained that he was particularly angry with Lindsay for being the one to mention her on camera and expose his alleged sexual relationship to some of the housemates, including his present girlfriend, Desorbo. "Lindsay did it for TV. Everyone in our lives knew about that."
He added, "It's one thing to be on that show and be fair game yourself, but to bring outside people and do it, I think, was just unfair. I felt terrible for her."
How Did The Duo Start Talking?
Cavallari and Conover started talking when the Delaware native slid into the "Laguna Beach" alum before a trip to Charleston, South Carolina.
Along with Conover's BFF, Kroll, the trio has formed a bond ever since. After their subsequent hangouts, rumors surfaced of Cavallari being in a love triangle with Conover and Kroll, which she came out to address.
"I haven't dated anybody in a few months. These two guys who I have been linked to for the past year are my friends. That's it."
She added, "I've never dated either one of them. I can guarantee that I'm not going to date either one of them. It's possible for a grown woman to be friends with a grown man."
Craig Conover Reveals That They Had Hooked Up Before
However, the news made headlines again after Conover debunked her admission on an episode of the show and revealed that he had been intimate with the "True Comfort" author. "I've hooked up with her before."
A source close to Cavallari revealed to Us Weekly at the time that the "Sewing Down South" founder was making things up, and they have never hooked up.
The source continued, "Cavallari isn't watching the petty drama on the series or giving any attention to it, she doesn't care."
Conover's present girlfriend, Desorbo, then revealed the rest of the details between her boyfriend and Cavallari on the February 14 episode of the series.
"I guess she texted him like, 'You are not going to make me look like an idiot with her.' And like, 'If you want her, like, go have her. Just don't make me look stupid,'" Desorbo claimed.
She also called out Cavallari's post on never being romantically involved with Conover and Kroll. "And he was like, 'OK, but you went on Instagram and lied.' Like, 'You can't say you were never going to date either of us. We f—ked,'" the Giggly Squad" podcast co host concluded.
Are Craig Conover And Paige Desorbo Still Going Strong?
After all the brouhaha, Conover recently disclosed that he and Desorbo were still "happy" as a couple.
"We openly dated around until it just got to the point where, you know, you like one person so much that you don't want to do that anymore," Craig told E! News. "We are now having a lot of fun, spending more time with each other and just being happy."
However, his relationship with Lindsay is now nonexistent. "She's not in my life anymore," the "Southern Charm" star told E! News. "Not based on that, I don't hold a lot of grudges. [But because I'm] really happy in the place that I'm in and I really like to lift people up, so I'm never gonna actively go after someone or try to tear them down."
