Following the debut of her futuristic movie feature "The Adam Project," actor Zoe Saldana is already looking forward to watching herself in "Avatar 2." The 39-year had undergone months of intensive training sessions for the upcoming film.

Saldana and her other cast members needed to learn how to hold their breaths for long minutes underwater, achieving this goal by taking deep dives with their marine trainers. As the film slowly approaches its premiere date, fans are gearing up to hit the cinemas for another masterpiece from James Cameron.

Saldana has now hinted that viewers are in for an emotional thrill, saying she was moved to tears after watching footage of the fantasy thriller.

Saldana's sentiments about the film came from the level of demanding work director Cameron had invested in making the scenes that needed performance capture underwater. She further revealed that Cameron had spent years trying to crack the technique and that the result was "powerful and compelling."

"Avatar 2" comes 12 years after the release of the first installment and is also the first of four sequels that will be produced over the next four years. The film's production suffered several setbacks, including technical issues, script changes, and a brief shutdown due to the pandemic.

Zoe Saldana Played Neytiri In ‘Avatar’

In "Avatar," Saldana played Neytiri, a Na'vi figure from an alien species. She taught earthling Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) about her people's traditions and later fell in love with him. After helping the clan fight off a human attack, Sully and Neytiri's mother, Mo'at (Carol Pounder), then became the new leaders of the Omaticaya (the Na'vi clan in the plot) at the end of the first film, and he permanently transfers his mind into his avatar.

The storyline for the sequel backdrops on Sully and Neytiri having started a family. The duo is hell-bent on doing all to stay together despite the differences in their origin. However, they are compelled to leave their home and explore the many regions of Pandora when an old menace returns to destroy all they have built.
