As reported by The Blast, Carter filed for domestic violence TRO on February 23 at the Antelope Valley Courthouse in LA County against his ex-fiancée Melanie Martin, 29, following their split last month.

The former teen pop sensation announced their breakup on Twitter just two months after they reconciled from their first split.

"My relationship has come to a point where we have to part ways," Carter tweeted on the same day he made the filing. "Please respect my privacy at this time. Thank you."

In the documents obtained by The Blast, the "I Want Candy" singer claims that the abuse Martin inflicted on him was "emotional distress, anguish, shoving, & scratching."

In addition, he claims that Martin was "verbally abusive, taunting, antagonizing, would not allow me to get any sleep all night long, shoving & scratching & attempted to push me over the banister over 2nd story staircase."

Earlier this month, Martin accused Carter of punching her, causing three broken ribs.

In her filing, which was also obtained by The Blast, the former bartender filed a restraining order in Los Angeles Courts claiming she had a big fight with Carter on February 21, where he "punched" her on the left side breaking several ribs.

Martin's Statement

However, Martin took back the claims about Carter a few days later in a statement she shared on her Instagram account.

"Just wanted to make a statement I’ve had a bad Time with post pardom depression," she wrote in a now-deleted post.

She continued, "Aaron never hit me / was angry because I made a mistake a bad one. And we were arguing ALOT because he was trying to break up with me for what I did."

Martin also cleared up rumors about Carter's sobriety, writing, "Aaron is definitely NOT a drug abuser," adding, "I’ve been a witness to it for two and a half years and their are a lot claims that he is online It’s completely untrue I’ve been here the whole time!!!"

She added, "He takes care of his mental health and is serious and has been working with a doctor for 2 and a half years and I want to make it VERY CLEAR ABOUT THAT. Because of all the claims about him."
