Aaron Carter Files Domestic Violence TRO Against Melanie Martin

Things between Aaron Carter and the mother of his child, Melanie Martin, have reached a boiling point because the "I Want Candy" singer headed to court and filed a petition for protection.

The Blast confirmed a domestic violence TRO filing made by Carter on February 23 at the Antelope Valley Courthouse in LA County, which was the same day he had gone on Instagram and told his millions of followers that he and Martin had called it quits for a second time. He also included a video of himself chasing down Melanie to allegedly "serve" her documents.

It's unclear what led to the filing, but, if granted by a judge, would most likely keep Martin away from Carter and anyone else he listed under the order of protection. The nature of the filing also states there is a minor child needing protection, which is assumed to be the troubled couple's new baby, Prince, who was born in November.

“My relationship has come to a point where we have to part ways,” Carter tweeted on February 23. “Please respect my privacy at this time. Thank you.”

“I have no intentions on being in any relationship anytime soon. I’m too scarred and I can’t trust any woman,” he added in a follow-up tweet. “So I’m going to protect my soul and my heart at this time.”

Only one day after the break-up, Carter posted a video of him literally chasing Melanie Martin away from what is assumed to be his house. She is rolling a pink suitcase along the ground behind her while Carter gives chase, calling her name. As she hits the curb, she literally drops the suitcase and dashes into the car as he stands in front of the car while she tries to hide her face in the backseat.

“You’ve been served,” he says in the video. “Got her on camera.”

He repeats it several times. Carter can then be heard saying, “Angel, she just got served. You know how it works. You know how it works. May 13, 8:30 AM.” It's assumed at this time that May 13 is the date of the court hearing.

“You’ve been served,” Carter wrote in the caption of the video. “See you in court. #restrainingorder”

The post had over 60,000 views in only a few hours of posting, with many expressing concern for Melanie and their child. Carter and Martin had previously called it quits on November 30, just one week after they welcomed a baby boy.

“Due to personal reason Melanie Martin and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Carter tweeted at the time.

He added, “There has been a very big lie and my sister communicating w my ex fiancé ruined everything considering she knew what angel tried to do to me in court thanks angel you ruined my family. God bless.”

“Sheeeeesh ?” one fan wrote.

“She seems scared ? to leave her suitcase behind just to get away,” another wrote.

“That’s the mother of your baby no matter what’s happened. That child may see this footage when older. ?” another commented.

“How embarrassing to post this ?” said another.

“I truly feel sorry for your child,” another wrote.

“So classy to put this on IG. As if it’s necessary. Prince will grow up and see this but what he won’t see is her side. Only what you do to her. Good job dad,” another shared.

“Aaron why would you do this to the mother of your child?” another asked. “Family First you always say.”

“Someone please call child services,” another wrote.

“Lol wtf is this s---?” another asked. “You guys need help ASAP for the sake of that poor baby.”

“At this point it is just better if you both are separated,” said another. “The constant back and forth is so unhealthy especially for that innocent child.”
