Shailene Woodley & Aaron Rodgers were rumored to have recently broken off their relationship after shocking fans with their engagement announcement last February.

Nevertheless, they have been spotted a couple of times hanging out together, and their most recent outing was a Southern California wedding where the star athlete performed the official duties for the nuptials.

It appears that the former couple is not ready to call it quits yet, and their tons of supporters are hopeful for the revival of their romance.

Over the weekend, Woodley and Rodgers attended the wedding of the athlete's teammate, David Bakhtiari, at Rosewood Miramar Beach in Santa Barbara, California.

As E! reported, the pair were seen holding hands while strolling around the hotel premises. A source stated, "They walked hand in hand through the lawn to get to the wedding."

As the wedding proceeded, several wedding guests and attentive fans of the celebs noticed the actress and the NFL star stood close to each other on the dance floor, which stirred up romance gossip.

Their presence at the ceremony was noted a few weeks after rumors of their split broke. Their differences and focus on their careers seemed to have taken them in separate directions.

However, following their split, Rodgers expressed his love and appreciation to Woodley on Instagram with sweet words. He wrote:

"Thanks for letting me chase after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life."

The message continued and read, "Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you."

The day after he confessed his love, the stars had breakfast together in Los Angeles, which sparked chatters. Still, they did not speak up about their relationship status at the time.

However, The Blast recounted last month that Rodgers still regarded himself and Woodley as a couple. Before that, he honored the star actress on "The Pat McAfee Show."

The California native detailed his relationship with "The Fault in Our Stars" actress on the show. They had been together for two NFL seasons, and he won the Most Valuable Player Award in both years.

He further gushed about how 'incredible, talented, smart, and kind' Woodley was as she taught him "unconditional love," which he regarded as a great gift.

The American actress's impact on Rodger's life was noteworthy as he has been living a grateful life which he believed was necessary to keep the joy in his life.

The joy in his life did not appear to last long as his relationship with Woodley ended but on good terms. Their split was reportedly due to issues with his sports career.

Although the 30-year-old fully supported the quarterback, they hardly spent any quality time together as he put football first ahead of their relationship.

Being an independent person, Rodgers may not have been totally into the idea of spending forever with Woodley and got "cold feet" about their imminent marriage, hence his neglect and their unhappiness as a couple.

In a previous report by The Blast, the two-time MVP awardee failed to honor the Golden Globe nominee during his acceptance speech at the MVP Awards ceremony.

At the time, the icons were engaged, but he did not dedicate the award to her; instead, he mentioned Ted Thompson and the late Maura Mandt in his speech.

This brought up many questions even when a source revealed to ELLE that the former couple's relationship was "non-traditional" and that they were the private type who did not "post about each other on their birthdays."

Woodley seemed to have deserved a dedication as Rodgers had no problem with publicly announcing how his engagement improved his football career.

During the Annual NFL Honors, he stated, "I got engaged, and I played some of the best football in my career." The statement showed he seemingly valued the result of his relationship with the performer.

Football was not a forte of The "Divergent" actress as she revealed in an interview with Jimmy Fallon that she was not quite versed in American sports.

She admitted that when she met the 38-year-old sportsman, she did not know the kind of football he was into and was still learning.
