Joey King Says She's The 'Luckiest Lady Alive' Following Steven Piet Engagement

Joey King and her longtime boyfriend are engaged!

"The Kissing Booth" star, 22, announced some big news on Instagram on Tuesday, thrilling her 18.9 million followers with a glimpse into her personal life. She shared five images in a sweet post announcing her engagement to film director Steven Piet, 30. See them below!

The couple showed some major PDA in the first pic, where Piet hugged King's waist as they locked lips. In the second slide, King shared a close-up of her hand. She wore a gorgeous oval-shaped diamond ring, which sparkled on her porcelain skin. Her nails were long and painted with black polish that offered a stunning contrast.

A swipe to the right showed the pair sitting on the ground while looking into each other's eyes. A solo shot of Piet was seen in the following image with their furry friend spotted in the background. In the last photo, the producer could be seen carrying the love of his life in his arms while King wrapped her arm around Piet's neck.

"I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy," King began.

"I never knew that a persons presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you," she continued.

While the "Ramona and Beezus" star recently shared the news of their engagement to her fans, she revealed that Piet actually popped the big question last month.

"The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive. I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let’s do it," King shared.

Her followers couldn't get enough of the announcement, and the post racked up over 2.9 million likes within hours of going live. The comments section was filled with everyone from fans to fellow celebrities congratulating her.

King met Piet on the set of her film "The Act," in which he co-executive produced. The couple first went public with their relationship in September 2019.

King opened up about her boyfriend for the first time in December.

"He is such a sweetheart," she told DailyMail during a meet and greet. "I consider myself extremely fortunate to have him in my life.’ I’m excited to see him for Christmas."

Late last month, King shared sweet snaps from their getaway in Costa Rica, in which the actress flaunted her insanely toned bikini body.
