The 2022 NAACP Image Awards has continued to announce its winners in several non-televised categories via streaming platforms this week.

For the fourth night, awards were presented to recording categories. Jazmine Sullivan won several awards, including Best Female Artist and Best Album for "Heaux Tales."

Winners in other categories include Silk Sonic for best duo, "Leave The Door Open" for Best Collaboration, Jeymes and Jay-Z for Best Soundtrack for "The Harder They Fall," and Sawetiee and Doja Cat's "Best Friend" for Best New Artist.

In addition, Darnella Frazier was awarded the NAACP Humanitarian Of The Year award for his role in recording the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police and later testifying at his trial.

'Daily Show With Trevor Noah,' 'The Red Table Talk' Amongst Winners For Day Three 

On Day 3, awards were presented to the TV and film categories. In addition, members of the Texas House Democratic Caucus, Mexican American Legislative Caucus, and Texas Legislative Black Caucus earned the Roy Wilkins Civil Rights Award for fighting for voting rights in Texas.

"The Red Table Talk" and "Daily Show With Trevor Noah" took home two awards each. While the latter was named Best Talk Series, the former was awarded the Best Variety Series or Special.

Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris were awarded Best Host (individual or ensemble) For A News/Information Talk Series or Special. On the other hand, Trevor Noah won Best Host (individual or ensemble) In A Game Show, Reality/Reality competition, Variety series, or Special.

Other notable winners included Danny Boyd Jr., Best Breakthrough Performance In A Film, for "Bruised;" "The Harder They Fall" awarded Best Ensemble Cast in a movie; and Maya Rudolph for Best Guest Performance, for "Saturday Night Live."

'Judas And The Black Messiah' Amongst Winners For Day Two

The second night, NAACP awarded the short-form, writing, and directing categories. Also, the organization announced its 2022 Activist of the Year, Scot X. Esdaile, president of the Connecticut state conference of NAACP branches.

"Insecure," whose number of nominations tied with that of "The Harder We Fall," picked up its first award for Best Writing In A Comedy Series. Also, "Jesus And The Black Messiah" picked up two awards, Best Directing And Acting In A Motion Picture.

Other notable winners from the second night include "The Daily Show" behind the scenes segment. This won the Best Short Form Scenes Comedy Or Drama. Also, Barry Jenkins won the Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series for "Underground." Jenny Leon also won Best Directing For A TV Movie Or Special for "Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia."

The NAACP presented awards to literary and podcast categories for the first day. They also awarded President Channing Hill for Youth Activist Of The Year.

Notable award winners include the late Cicely Tyson, who ironically won the award for Debut Author for her memoir "Just As I Am," Will Smith, who won Best Biography/Autobiography for his eponymous memoir "Will," Tabitha Brown's "Feeding the Soul Because It's My Business" which earned the Instructional Literary Work Award, Stacey Abrams and Kitt Thomas' children's book, "Stacey's Extraordinary Words," and Nikole Hannah-Jones' 1619 Project, which won the Best Non-fiction Literary Work Award. 

As initially announced, Hannah-Jones is also set to be awarded the Social Justice Impact Award from the NAACP.

For the Podcast category, Sherri Shepherd and Kym Whitley's "Two Funny Mamas" won Best Lifestyle/Self-Help Podcast. At the same time, "Jemele Hill is Unbothered" won the Arts And Entertainment and The Society And Culture Awards.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry To Receive The President's Award At NAACP Event

As announced by the NAACP, Prince Harry and Meghan will receive the President Award at 53rd NAACP awards. The award, which recognized notable achievements and public service, will still be presented at the ceremony, broadcast on February 26 at 8 pm. Precious honoraries include Jay-Z, Rihanna, Colin Powell, Soledad, Muhammed Ali, and much more.

"We're thrilled to present this award to Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who together have heeded the call to social justice and have joined the struggle for equity both in the U.S. and around the world," said the President and CEO of the NAACP, Derrick Johnson in a statement. "Not only do they continue to lead by example, The Duke and Duchess have also decided to inspire the next generation of activists through the NAACP-Archewell Digital Civil Rights Award, ensuring the support and recognition of generations of civil rights leaders to come."

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, this year's NAACP Image Awards ceremony comprises a performance from Mary J. Blige, with presenters including NAACP board chairman Leon W. Russell, Tiffany Haddish, Kerry Washington, LL Cool J, Michael Strahan, Zendaya, Morgan Freeman, Paula Patton, Questlove, Simu Liu, NAACP President Derrick Johnson, and Issa Rae.
