Amid the ongoing tussle between Russia and Ukraine, Hayden Panettiere took to Instagram to post her support for her ex-fiance, Wladimir Klitschko.
She also told a concerned fan that their daughter, Kaya, 7, was "safe" as she usually lives with her father in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Klitschko brothers are ready to take on Russia to protect their motherland.
Hayden Panettiere & Wladimir Klitschko's Relationship
"Heroes" actor Hayden Panettiere started dating the then-world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2009. The pair split in 2011 and then got back together in 2013, this time, getting engaged. The couple always had an on-off relationship and soon enough, the engagement dissolved and they broke up, for good, in 2018.
Their daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko was born in 2014 and Hayden underwent severe postnatal depression, enough to enter rehab for the same. Her daughter lives with her father, Wladimir, in Ukraine, and given the current scenario in that part of the world, fans were worried about the safety of Kaya.
In 2019, Hayden spoke about the "challenges" of co-parenting a daughter that lives thousands of miles away from her. With Ukraine under attack, obviously, the safety of her daughter was paramount, and Hayden let her fans know that all was well.
That said, both the exes share a respectful relationship, and Hayden wished him a happy birthday last year in March as well.

Hayden Panettiere Claims Kaya Is Safe
Two days ago, Hayden shared an Instagram update in which she denigrated the attack on Ukraine, and spoke about the "strength of the Ukrainian people" who had fought very hard for "their independence and have continued to passionately defend their country over the years."
She also attacked Putin in the post, writing "This horrific moment in history sends a terrifying message: the message that in this day and age, in the year 2022, it’s okay to violate the rights of free people and allow autocrats like Putin to take whatever they please."
She continued saying, "I’m praying for my family and friends there and everyone who’s fighting. I wish you had more support and I wish I was there fighting with you! For now, I ask for those of us who can’t be there to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and show your support for democracy."
Wrote one of her fans, "Please tell me that your daughter is currently stateside and not with her dad during this..." to which Hayden replied, "she's safe and not in the Ukraine", adding a thumbs up in the end.
In her Instagram post, Hayden also added the handles of both her ex, Wladimir Klitschko, and his brother Vitaliy, who is the mayor of Kyiv.

Meanwhile, according to the Guardian, both the Klitschko brothers, heavyweight boxing champions in their own right, announced their intentions to take up arms to defend against Russia's invasion.
Vitaliy Klitschko, Wladimir's elder brother is the mayor and the head of the Kyiv City State Administration. Meanwhile, former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, Hayden's ex, is also a Hall of Famer enlisted in Ukraine's reserve army earlier this month.
All three of them, Hayden, Wladimir and Vitaliy got plenty of support for their Instagram stories.
Many Hollywood celebrities have also posted about the situation on their social media, praying for the innocent people being harmed in the conflict.
Here's what Mark Ruffalo had to say.
Sending love and good prayers to all innocent people of Ukraine and Russia and Europe who are caught up in this sad and corrosive moment of asymmetrical violence and destruction, especially the young people. You have done nothing to deserve this perversion and obscene spectacle.
