'Weird Al' Yankovic is a gifted musician, singer, and composer who parodies other musicians' popular songs and utilizes music to take lyrical jabs at pop culture. His songs include "Eat It," "Smells Like Nirvana," and "Like A Surgeon." "Mandatory Fun," the Grammy-winning artist's most recent studio album, was released in 2014.

The showrunners are yet to reveal the exact storyline for Yankovic's docu-film. However, considering Radcliffe's comments, one can presume that there might be some alterations to Yankovic's real-life history for the sake of comedy.

The words "scandalous" and "depraved" hinted that the producers could choose to twist the truth to create a more dramatic tale that would enthrall fans and keep their attention all through its running time.

Fans of "Funny or Die" will recall the parody film trailer for a phony "Weird Al" biography, in which Aaron Paul played the eponymous character. The spoof trailer mocked the overblown, grungy tone of musical biography pieces that claim to depict the actual lives of renowned musicians even while subtly gunning for Academy Award nominations.

It parodied films like Walk The Line and Ray, both of which followed the lives of Johnny Cash and Ray Charles. In the teaser, "Weird Al" is shown as a disturbed alcoholic, and an illicit love affair between the parody artist and pop superstar Madonna was added in the short footage.

With so many years already gone, the phony trailer has finally materialized as a real biopic, with Daniel Radcliffe replacing Aaron Paul in the leading role.

Given his performance in the original spoof, one might have expected a comeback for Paul in the biopic. However, the odds ultimately fell to Radcliffe, who had zero input in the initial work.

Reports have it that the exemption was due to schedule problems, as Aaron Paul's "Westworld" character Caleb is deeply involved in the upcoming season of the science fiction series.
