As per usual, Carter was bombarded with hate comments.

"Instead of buying all these new cars how about buying some actual clothes. You were the same thing everyday," wrote a different follower.

"Yo bruh prob doesn't pay for half that crap he puts it on his social media account so ppl think dude paying haha.. the only thing I dnt understand why anybody wants him to sponsor him.. guess they'll take what they can get," quipped another commenter.

Carter seemingly did a test drive before buying the new ride as he clarified in a video that he was thinking of buying the car.

"I'm probably going to get this 2021 Escalade because you know, I had the other one -- the Orange Sunset," he explained in the clip shared to his Instagram Story.

The footage also gave his followers a glimpse at the inside of the car, which showed its touchscreen display and "very big monitor."

The "House of Carters" star also noted that the big TV in the backseat will be "good for touring."

Carter has been working hard on his music -- releasing new singles since late last year. As reported by The Blast, he also dropped his new rap track, Reload The Wesson," which gained substantial praise from his avid fans.

However, the hate he's getting for spending a lot of money probably came from the fact that he has a net worth of $400,000 -- a very different amount from when he was a teen pop sensation. In addition, he's a new father to his 3-month-old son Prince Lyric, with whom he shares with fiancée Melanie Martin.

Losing His Money

According to the singer, his net worth was $200 million at one point in time.

“I made over $200 million in my career before I even turned 18 years old," Carter said in his interview on Oprah.

Unfortunately, he lost most of the money and filed for bankruptcy in 2013.

As he was underage, Carter relied on his parents to protect his funds in the past, but he said they failed to do so due to "neglect."

He added, "Under the Coogan Law, [my parents] were supposed to be putting 15 percent of my money into my Coogan Account."
