Megan Thee Stallion is going OFF on her former record label, claiming they are “grown a– men” who are bullying her and trying to “eat” off her name.
The ‘WAP’ rapper posted a lengthy statement on Instagram, sharing a recent headline about dismissing a lawsuit she filed against the label — 1501 Certified Entertainment. As we reported, MTS sued the label back in 2020, claiming she was unable to release new music and wanted a judge to force the label to allow it.
Megan Thee Stallion Claims Record Label Is ‘Bullying’ Her And Is ‘Greedy’
Megan claims she dismissed the case, due to an agreement to allow her to release the music, which she did. But, the label’s Instagram account shared the headline too, with the caption, “Only the real “H-town” can relate. Now tell them to run my bread dating all the way back from 2018. In the post, they appear to be talking about money spend on Megan’s career and included an angry emoji.
So, MTS blasted the company on her IG page, writing a long message about how they bullied her and were “greedy” with the finances.
“This dude never know wtf is going on with his business. The case that Was dismissed against you was from when you wasn’t trying to let me drop music … you and 300 signed off and let me drop music so there is no case anymore,” she began. Although it isn’t specific, it appears she is talking about label boss, Carl Crawford.
Megan Thee Stallion To Carl Crawford: I Am STILL Suing You!
She continued, “We are most definitely STILL IN COURT and YOU STILL GETTING SUED BC YOU OWE ME MONEY!!! I AINT NEVER BEEN PAID FROM 1501 IN MY LIFE ! I make money bc I’m MEGAN THEE STALLION!”
At this point, she claimed the record label heads bullied her during the time she worked with them, and are trying to paint her as the bad person in the disagreement.
She writes, “Grown a– men wanna bully me and eat off my name and paint me out as a villain online bc they know these bandwagon a– haters gone eat that sh– up ! I don’t even be saying s–t to you lame a– ni—s bc the TRUTH always comes out.”
Megan Thee Stallion Claims Record Label Took Advantage Of Her Young Age
Several celebrity friends liked the post, including ‘Jersey Shore’ star JWoww. Also, fans are flooding the post with messages of support, including one who writes, “These labels out here be sugar coating and putting peoples lives on hold this is why you can’t mess wit everyone in the industry Meg u do you queen.”
This isn’t the first time MTS has spoken out about her contract with 1501 Certified Entertainment. After filing the initial lawsuit, Megan opened up about the beef on social media.
“When I signed, I didn’t really know what was in my contract,” she said during an Instagram live session. Adding, “I was young. I was like 20. I ain’t know everything that was in that contract. So when I got with Roc Nation, I got management — real management. I got real lawyers and they were like, ‘Did you know that this is in your contract?’”
This Fight Is Far From Over…
She continued, “So now, they telling a bitch that she can’t drop no music. It’s really just a greedy game. It’s really just really greedy. Wasn’t trying to leave the label. Wasn’t trying to not give anybody money that they feel like they are entitled to. I just wanted to renegotiate some s–t.”
It appears the legal fight over her record contract is ongoing.
