People magazine recently released an exclusive clip from the final episode of Sister Wives' season 16's tell-all episode, titled "Sister Wives One on One." In the exclusive preview, Brown sat down with Sukanya Krishnan to speak about his doubts about the polygamous lifestyle.

He told Krishnan that he questions his decision to live in the polygamous lifestyle "all the time." He also said that he finds himself examining the lifestyle and its effects when he has conversations with polygamous women who are "struggling in it because of the pain in it."

He also said that his family struggles pushed him to wonder out loud to God why he was called to live in a plural marriage (what polygamists have termed a marital union where one partner is spiritually married to multiple partners) - if the whole lifestyle he is living is "a mess now."

He referenced Christines's now open disdain for plural marriage and said he felt like she was "living two lives" by publicly promoting the polygamous lifestyle but privately saying she wanted to leave. He said that her inconsistency made him "angry as hell."

Christine Spoke About Why She's Leaving Polygamy

The preview clip also featured Brown's ex-wife, Christine, who used to be his third wife. In the clip, she told Krishnan that she has gone beyond just questioning the polygamous lifestyle and decided to leave the lifestyle she grew up in and was a part of for many years.

Christine said, "Yeah, I don't want polygamy, that's for sure. Part of the reason I'm sure that I'm leaving is because I don't believe it's for me anymore, I don't." She also said, "God's like, 'No girl, you did it, you can go.'" Her decision to leave the lifestyle isn't surprising to Sister Wives fans, as many have expected it for a while.

Christine Announced Their Separation

In a November 2021 Instagram post, Christine announced that she and Brown would be going their separate ways after over 27 years of marriage. In the post, she told her followers and fans that she made the "difficult decision to leave" Brown because they grew apart in their marriage.

Over their almost three-decades-long marriage, Brown and Christine had six biological children together: Aspen, aged 26; Mykelti, aged 25; Paedon, aged 23; Gwendolyn, aged 20; Ysabel, aged 18, and Truly, aged 11.

Of Brown's marriages with first wife Meri, second wife Janelle, third and now ex-wife Christine, and fourth wife Robyn, only his marriage with Robyn is still solid. His relationship with Meri is no longer romantic, and Janelle is in a place of doubt about their relationship and her choice to be in the lifestyle.

Christine Refused To Share Her Marriage Anymore

In the final episode of Season 16, Christine packed all of Brown's belongings into boxes and moved them into the garage after she claimed he finally told her that he was tired and didn't want to be in an "intimate" marriage with her anymore.

When asked about her decision to leave their marriage during the episode, she said, "My heart's shattered, to be honest with you." However, she was firm that she had made up her mind and that she was no longer interested in "a half marriage or a partial marriage or whatever we have."

The final hour of "Sister Wives" One on One will air on Sunday on TLC, and fans can find out more about what Brown and Christine have planned for their futures after their marriage and their decisions on the polygamous lifestyle.
