The sports film "Hustle" revolves around the life of the basketball scout Stanley Sugarman (who is played by Sandler) as he discovers an international athlete with unique skill and talent (played by Juancho Hernangómez) and a disturbing past.

An official logline of the film provides that the basketball scout "takes it upon himself to bring the phenom to the States without his team's approval." Also, that they must be victorious "against all odds" as they "have one final shot to prove they have what it takes to make it in the NBA."
