Britney Spears' Mom Accused Of Trying To Get On Good Side After Reacting To New Pets

Britney Spears has made it known that she wants nothing to do with her family members as they put her through a torturous conservatorship for years.

Yet this does not stop her estranged relatives from trying to kiss up to her and earn a spot in her good book—now that they have no legal hold over her.

Recently, the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer's mother, Lynne Spears, dropped a sweet comment under her post, despite their family drama.

On Tuesday, February 15, Lynne took to Britney's Instagram page to fawn over her new pet puppy, who is too cute for words.

Lynne surprised internet users when she gushed over the furry friend, writing, "The most beautiful pup ever with blue eyes!!!"

Britney's disinterest in reconnecting with her mother was as glaring as sunlight when she left no reply to her reaction.

The matriarch's unsuspecting comment did not go down well with many fans who believed she was trying to get on the "Blackout" singer's good side for selfish reasons.

Pop Crave shared a screenshot of the one-sided interaction on Twitter and fans took the opportunity to express that they were not buying into Lynne's niceness.

An internet user theorized that the mother's comment was simply a tactic to earn her daughter's favor to benefit herself financially.

The user quoted a tweet from a fan page that states, "Britney Spears intends to file objections to Lynne's attorney fees because they cannot come to an agreement."

The user explained, "This is why Lynne is trying to get on Britney's good side: she wants Britney to cover her legal fees & maybe keep the house Britney bought her."

Another fan wondered why the "Inside Out" singer's mother acted friendly after all she put her daughter through, penning, "suddenly she wants to be nice ?."

Britney may be done with her immediate family, but she is all for expanding her home with the presence of adorable pets.

Earlier this month, The Blast disclosed that on Tuesday, February 15, the "Circus" singer uploaded a video of her puppy named Sawyer via Instagram. She gushed about him writing:

“Geez …. can you have two loves of your lives because he comes in second !!!! I’m introducing the new edition to my family … his name is Sawyer, and he’s a white Australian shepherd with blue eyes !!!!!”

Britney recounted the dreamy experience of finding her newest family member in Maui and immediately taking him home with her. Britney feels Sawyer understands her even though he does not talk back. She continued:

"I can talk to him for 30 min about potty training and rewarding him when he goes potty on the pad !!!! I think he understands me, especially with those eyes ? … he makes my heart melt … he needs me, and I like that !!!!!"

Last December, the "Gimme More" singer teased fans on Instagram with a video of a pet cat she promised to introduce later. She wrote in her captions:

"My cat is French and very peculiar … she looks at food as if she is 30 for two min before she eats it … she’s extremely smart, and she looks like a miniature cheetah ? !!!! Me and security couldn’t find her for 2 hours, and then when we did she would disappear again !!!!"

Britney noted that her house is full of small animals, and she likes it that way, except for the experience of "potty training ?? !!!!" 

Britney got candid about her family's "sick psychology" of convincing her that she was okay to be held against her will while "illegal stuff" was done to her at a facility.

The Blast shared that the "Glory" singer expressed her feelings in an Instagram post. She admitted that her one regret in all her 40 years is not spitting in their "stupid f—ing faces!!!" She continued:

“I would be the first person to admit I’m pretty messed up by it all and haven’t even come close to sharing all of what they did … it’s honestly shocking but in time I think things will unfold in a bright way !!!”
