Nina Dobrev ‘Couldn’t Be More Proud’ Of Olympic Boyfriend Shaun White!

Actress Nina Dobrev is still cheering on boyfriend Shaun White!
Even though he didn't score a medal in the Olympics, the former “The Vampire Diaries” star took to Instagram to sing his praises and share some sweet snaps of the couple together in the snow.
Nina Dobrev: ‘Today We Are Celebrating You’
On Friday, Dobrev shared a few recent snaps of White’s recent Olympic run. “I am in awe of you,” she wrote in the caption.
“Today we are celebrating you,” she continued. “Your hard work. Your passion. Your determination. Your talent. Your class. Your fearlessness. Your courage. Your soul. Your heart. YOUR LEGACY.”
“I couldn’t be more proud,” she added. “Of everything you have accomplished over the last 20 years as a competitor and the man you have become. You are one of a kind.”
“You are a true hero and you inspire me daily,” she added.
“The end of one chapter, means the beginning of an exciting new one with endless possibilities,” she continued. “You will forever be the G.O.A.T. of snowboarding. Not to mention you are also the G.(B).O.A.T. = Greatest Boyfriend Of All Time ?@shaunwhite”
The “Fam” actress isn’t the only one looking to start a new chapter! White also expressed the same remarks when he was asked about what he’s looking forward to next!
Shaun White ‘Can’t Wait’ To Start ‘New Chapter’ With Nina Dobrev!
As The Blast previously reported, the three-time gold-winning Olympic snowboarder said that he can’t wait to get home to see his family and his girlfriend!
“I can't wait to get back and see her, see my family and start this next chapter of my life,” he said.
“Her love and support's been incredible,” he added. “She's just been, every step of the way, meeting me, through training, calling me, hiding notes and things in my bag, just anything to brighten my day.”
Dobrev also got his friends and family together to cheer him on from afar!
“She knew all of my friends and family couldn't be there and she got everyone together and made this incredible video of everyone saying how much they wish they could be there and sending their love and support,” he continued. “I've been playing that video every day while I'm here to get pumped up and feel support from back home. So that was just so wonderful. It really set the tone for the rest of the trip.”
Are Shaun White And Nina Dobrev Going To Tie The Knot?
As The Blast previously shared, the couple first got together when they met at an event organized by motivational speaker Tony Robbins in 2019.
They hit it off so well that they decided to move in together at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in March 2020. Since then, things have seemed to be going great for the couple, who have been filling up Instagram with adorable snaps!
Things have been going so well for the couple that their friends think that White might propose any day now!
“They are so freaking cute and solid together,” one friend of the couple told Page Six. “I would not be surprised if an engagement happens any day now.”
“They share so many interests, they’re both driven, they’re both into self-healing and well-being,” they continued. “They’re both very spiritual and motivated. They’ve both worked so hard for so many years to make their own careers, so now they’ve decided that any free minute they get, they spend with each other.”
Shaun White & Nina Dobrev Both Love To Snowboard!
Although Dobrev is not a professional athlete, she’s been hitting the slopes since she was little. In an interview shortly before White began his Olympic run, the “Degrassi” star couldn’t stop gushing about her boyfriend!
“I am really excited for him,” she said. “Just to get into the Olympics at all is one of the hugest accomplishments, let alone to get in five times. I’m so excited. I’m so proud of him.”
Even though Shaun White announced that he was retiring from snowboarding competitions, he’s still going to be hitting the slopes with Dobrev, who is an avid snowboarder herself!
“I actually have been snowboarding since I was really little,” Dobrev explained. “I skied first and then I switched over to snowboarding at probably 8 or 9.”
“I think [White] was more surprised when we went [snowboarding] for the first time,” Dobrev continued. “He was expecting to wait for me and it was quite the opposite. I had already passed him by a landslide … I can keep up!”
