Four months after breaking up with Randall Emmett and calling off her engagement, Lala Kent says she feels “happy again.”
Earlier this week, the “Vanderpump Rules” star did a Q&A with fans on Instagram.
When a fan asked how she was “staying so strong,” Lala replied, “Obviously I get a lot of strength from my daughter but beyond that, I think strength comes with knowing your worth, with or without someone.”
The couple were together from 2017 to 2022, got engaged in 2018 and planned a wedding for 2020. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the two postponed their nuptials until 2022.
Lala Kent Feels "Happy" and "Free" After Randall Emmett Split
They broke up in October when reports of Emmett’s infidelity began circulating after a wild weekend in Nashville, TN
Lala continued to explain of her strength, “The moment I saw who that person really was, and the mask had finally fallen, I knew I was better off and he never deserved me. That feeling gave me power."
Lala Says She Recognizes Herself Again
She added, “Even though there are moments I go 'what the f**k,' I find strength in the fact that I am happy again. I recognize myself in the mirror again."
Soon after the split, Lala moved her and daughter, Ocean (11 mos.), out of their shared Bel Air mansion.
She also rebranded a tattoo she got in honor of her cheating ex. It originally read “Rand,” but she changed it to read “bRand New.”
Speaking of rebranding and finally being happy, another thing Lala is excited to experience is having sober sex with new men.
She's Excited For What Her Sexual Future Holds
The “Give Them Lala” podcast host opened up about her intimate life and took a few jabs at her ex while she was at it.
On a recent podcast episode, Lala was joined by Melissa Gorga.
Lala explained that she is back in the dating pool and testing the waters; however, this will be her first time SOBER while dating.
“I’ve been sober for over three years, and I had the same partner,” she explained.
Lala got sober in 2018 after the passing of her father.
At the time she got sober, the ‘Vanderpump’ star was with Emmett.
“I had sex sober, which I couldn’t wait for it to be over most of the time,” Lala said taking aim at her ex.
Prior to Emmett, Lala admitted she hadn’t had “sober sex” since she lost her virginity when she was 17-years-old.
She added that it will be interesting having “sober sex” with someone new.
“I was sober when I lost my virginity, but after that? I’m a drinker, girl,” she joked to Gorga. “Like, I’m a bag of fun.”
This new lifestyle is definitely uncharted territory for the mother-of-one.
“So not only is it that, like, I’m going into new territory, where it’s like I’m going to be banging it out without an ounce of alcohol in my system,” Lala said. “However, I think it’s going to be fun, because I’ve been like talking to a few people, and I’m like, ‘I f**king got it. I still got it.’”
