Bob Saget’s Autopsy Reveals More Tragedy, Multiple Skull Fractures Found

New information is being released surrounding the cause of the death of late comedian Bob Saget.

As The Blast previously reported, the “Full House” star reportedly passed away due to a brain bleed after hitting his head on something prior to going to sleep. Officials theorize that this might be a headboard, but the exact object could not be determined. Reports did state that an “obvious bruise” was found in the back of his head and a toxicology report confirmed that there were no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time he passed away.

According to a medical examiner’s report obtained by Page Six, Bob Saget’s skull had multiple fractures. He also had abrasions on his scalp. The report also indicated the bleeding and contusions in the brain led to his cause of death, which was officially listed as “the result of blunt head trauma.”

“It is most probable that the decedent suffered an unwitnessed fall backwards and struck the posterior aspect of his head,” the report stated, adding, “The manner of death is accident.”

The report stated that Bob Saget’s respiratory system was “COVID-positive” but it is not believed to be a factor in his death. His widow, Kelly Rizzo, admitted that he had tested positive for COVID-19 but said that it was “not anything serious.”

Last night, the comedian’s family released a statement regarding the new information surrounding his death. The “How I Met Your Mother” narrator was previously believed to have passed away from a stroke or a heart attack.

“In the weeks since Bob’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful,” the statement began.

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” they added.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma,” they explained. “They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter,” they concluded.

It has been a month since the world lost Bob Saget, and Kelly Rizzo took to Instagram to share a montage of their best moments on Instagram.

“One month without this incredible man,” she wrote. “Bob truly lived life to its fullest. He had so many hardships over the years that he would always tell me ‘look, life is hard, we need to enjoy it as much as possible.’”

“And one of the best ways we did that together was sharing and exploring amazing food around the world,” she continued. “We were in our happy place together whenever we were out at a restaurant, hotel lobby bar, or even our own kitchen when I would try out a new creation on him.”

“He was never shy about ordering, and he would even tell you to get everything on the menu that you wanted because he also wanted to see you enjoy everything to the fullest,” she added. “Experiencing simple pleasures in life like that brought him so much joy. I can’t even put into words how much I will miss this.”

Many fans and friends piled on the post to offer her support during this difficult time.

“Bob knew what life was all about. He knew it was about enjoying the good times to the fullest. He loved nothing more than enjoying those good moments life offered with you and his girls,” Valerie Joy Wilson commented. “This was a beautiful reminder of how funny and full of life he always was and I’d be lying if I said I got through it with dry eyes.
