Ireland Baldwin has never been shy to tell the media like it is.
Despite having internal battles with herself and what the media puts out there, the eldest daughter of Alec Baldwin has hit back time and time again at negative media attention.
Ireland took to Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday to post her rendition of the “#NotMyNameChallenge.”
In case you aren’t familiar with the latest viral challenge, a bevy of celebrities have taken part.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Idina Menzel, Alicia Silverstone, Drew Barrymore and more have flexed their skills with the #NotMyName challenge.
Basically, the challenge is to show off all of the different names you are called whether it be character names, nicknames or random phrases.
Ireland went with more of the random phrases route with her video.
In the video she starts out with the following, “My name is Ireland… but the media likes to call me…”

Then the following words/phrases pop up: “Fat, thoughtless little pig, attention seeking, voluptuous, promiscuous, well-off, silver spoon fed brat w/ no real job.
She ends the video writing, “My name is Ireland. I’m a writer. And I think pigs are cute so jokes on you ❤️.”
Ireland further explained what she meant by the video in her caption.
“I can’t even tell you how much time I’ve wasted worrying about headlines and comments. Can you believe that? Can you believe how much control we give others and how much power we give their narratives,” she wrote. “The majority of us have been called names and have had assumptions made about us. I hardly read articles that come out about me in general but often times when I do, I’m always sexualized in some way or compared to my parents in another. Unfortunately, positivity and good news hardly sells.”
Ireland Hits Back At The Media & Haters
Ireland continued to say the media is “one giant garbage dump” and that she couldn’t care less.
Her message concluded, “I know who I am for the first time in a long time and I’m excited to show you what I’ve been working on. I know that my decision to work in the entertainment industry will of course bring on the constant comparison to the achievements of both my parents, and I continue to embrace the parts of myself that are indeed like them… but I am very excited to show you the individual that I am and the person I’ve grown to very proud of. I don’t give a fuck what you think about how I look, what I wear, what I think and say, and damn does it feel good to get to this point.
Her fans went wild in the comments section for her confidence and poignant message.
“You are a pistol of a gal 😍❤️🔥,” one fan replied.
Another sent Ireland love writing, “Be you....and you are beautiful!!! Listen only to the ones who know and love you❤️ dont listen to the media. Love from the Netherlands 😘.”
“This is the best thing ever!” and “You’re my idol. Period. ❤️🔥,” others wrote.
