Lindsay Lohan did not have it easy for both of the decades, beginning in 2010. From being arrested for various offenses to having to serve some time in prison and getting in and out of relationships like doors, Lohan's star began a dramatic spiral down.

But now, she's back, with a bang in a beautiful avatar, with perfect comic timing, for a Super Bowl ad for Planet Fitness. She's looking healthy, has her weight back to gentle curves, and has recovered enough to poke fun at her own shenanigans of the past. Just like the Lindsay we remembered.

Lohan's troubles began in 2006 itself when she was sporadic on the set of "Georgia Rule" and was even sent a reprimanding letter, asking her to honor her commitments. From then on, her life began to unravel into a series of parties, DUIs, arrests, court appearances, rescinded jail time, and of course, rehab.

There was talk of her stealing a necklace, crashing her car and injuring someone, and even hitting a woman in a nightclub. Lohan's past has been colorful, to say the least, but it seems she has reached a balance. Enough to be able to poke fun at herself and her chequered past.

Never mind the fact that she made her conquest list public as well, featuring the likes of the later Heath Ledger, Justin Timberlake, Colin Farrell, Joaquin Phoenix, Wilmer Valderrama, James Franco, Adam Levine, Zac Efron, and even "50 Shades of Gray" star Jamie Dornan.

But now, Lohan is engaged to a none-celebrity. He is Bader Shammas, and works as a financier in Credit Suisse, and makes her happy. For Lohan, that's all that matters.

But people are wondering, "what'd gotten into Lindsay Lohan? because she's "living her best nightlife!"

Now, when an ad begins with LindsayLohan on a treadmill, and the narrator saying "People are wondering 'What's gotten into Lindsay?'", you have a feeling it's going to be good.

And it only gets better. The narrator says, "She's never been sharper" as she's shown on an episode of "Jeopardy" answering the question of  "which basketball star married himself in 1996", with the answer and Dennis Rodman as a competitor, who gets iffy about her win. Also seen in Buzzy Cohen.

Then, it moves on to Danny Trejo as the narrator tells the public that Lindsay is "trading DUIs for DIYs" and she is shown blinging-up Trejo's ankle monitor. Lindsay asks, "and the verdict is?", prompting Trejo to say, "gorgeous".

There's a whole scene before that, where the narrator tells the public that "she's sleeping better than ever", panning to the paps who are crying and saying, "I miss Lindsay!" - a direct pun on her late-night partying days.

Finally, we see William Shatner on a machine, as he ponders, "Maybe it's not what's gotten into Lindsay but what Lindsay's gotten into", as she walks past him, greeting him with a "Hey William!"

And so the ad ends, with a tagline "Planet Fitness. Get fit and feel fitacular!" The ad has more than 140,000 views already, and it seems Lindsay has finally found a perfect fit.

Here's another teaser.

The "Mean Girls" and "Parent Trap" actress said that partnering with Planet Fitness seemed like a natural fit. Lohan said, “Planet Fitness promotes everything I look for in fitness, it’s an inclusive environment, it’s fun, and it promotes a safe space for exercise. Mostly, I am proud to be a part of something that encourages all of us to take time for our health and wellness."

The fact that Lohan can take a joke, on public space, about her past proves how far she's come from those dark days, and she said the same as well, "It was refreshing to put my past to bed once and for all and share with people how I am living my life today."

Now, Lohan believes in taking care of herself, and she's not just big on fitness but skincare as well. Her fitness regimen is simple. she stays hydrated, eats healthy, and hits the treadmill along with doing a mix of squats, crunches, and stretching.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Tucker, Planet Fitness' Chief Marketing Officer said, "We really tried to have fun with it and find someone who could really own the stage at the Super Bowl for us," talking about having Lindsay Lohan for the ad.

The end goal for Planet Fitness is "to get as many people off the couch and to experience good things like fitness and feeling good — without the intimidation." And Lohan is the perfect fit for them too.
