Having six kids at home, with the oldest being eight years old, is still "unbelievable" to him, he said.
“I don't have anything else in my life,” Baldwin said. “I really don't have anything else in my life that matters to me on that scale, and I really mean that. I'm not asking anyone to pin any medals on me but I just haven't done anything else in my life that even remotely means anything to me.”
Alec Baldwin Has Been Working Less To Spend More Time At Home
Baldwin said that he has been working “minimally” in the past few years because he wants to spend more time with his growing family. He encouraged his followers to “cherish the time you have” with family and friends as well.
“I hate to leave my family,” he continued. “I'm turning down jobs I think I shouldn't do because I hate to be away from my kids. I hate to be away from my wife and kids. I'm on my way to go on a trip and leave my family – it's not that long – but I hate it. I really hate it.”
He added that his kids “pull me into a world I never dreamed I would be a part of… it’s unbelievable.”
“I have a good partner,” he said before signing off by telling fellow parents watching to “Hug your kids and love your kids and make every day count.”
Alec Baldwin's Work On 'Rust' Resulted In The Death Of Halyna Hutchins
Although Alec Baldwin has been taking fewer films in the past few years, one of the films he did take on was the Western film "Rust." Unfortunately, while on set, Baldwin claimed that a gun he was holding went off. The gun contained a live bullet that struck and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The fatality sparked a national debate about gun safety and had stars like “Red Notice” actor Dwayne Johnson swearing that he would never again use a real gun on set.
The investigation is still ongoing. In January 2022, Alec Baldwin voluntarily turned over his cell phone to authorities and said that he has been fully cooperating with the investigation. Baldwin has stated numerous times that he does not believe that he will be criminally charged in the fatal shooting. He also claims to have no knowledge about how a live round ended up in a prop gun.
As the investigation continues, Baldwin has been tapped to narrate a brand new true-crime series called “Art Fraud” among his other projects.
