Former “Jeopardy!” champion Amy Schneider ended her impressive run with a whopping 40 games won in a row, which set a new record for the second-highest win streak in the show’s decades-long history!
In a previous interview, Amy said that “I think the main thing that I got out of this was being OK with myself, how I look, how I present to the world. I’ve been openly trans for a little under five years now, and there’s definitely lingering worry and dysphoria and things like that.”
“Just to get so much positive feedback, so much support and so much acceptance, it enabled me – by the end of it – to look at myself on TV and be like, ‘Oh, you know, she’s pretty, she’s fun, what a likable person.’ And I’ve never been able to see myself that way before.”
In previous interviews, Amy said that she plans to use her almost $1.4 million dollars in winnings to travel, go on a shopping spree, and buy designer clothes. Amy loves fashion, so what better way to celebrate her historic run than by taking a look back at some of her most iconic outfits over her 41-game run?
Day 15: The Pink Blazer Returns!
Although Amy didn’t start sharing her outfits on her Instagram page until two weeks after her run began, fans don’t mind!
On Day 15, Amy said that she wore her pink blazer for the third time since being on the show. Her signature pearl necklace that she received from her girlfriend, Genevieve, is prominently displayed as always!
Amy said that she got the pink blazer from @muralclothing and the cream blouse is from East Adeline!
Day 16: Amy Schneider’s Second-Favorite Outfit!
On Day 16, Amy decided to wear a blouse that she got from Nordstorm Rack. It looks like it could be either blue or gray, depending on the lighting.
Amy explained that she got it a couple of days before the taping of her first “Jeopardy!” episode, and it ended up being her second favorite outfit after her pink blazer!
When she asked fans what their favorite outfit was, one fan replied, “Your smile!” Aww!
Day 18: The Not-So-Festive Christmas Sweater!
Day 18 of Amy’s run fell exactly on Christmas Day! She put on this comfy-looking white sweater from Target. She mentioned that she’s worn this sweater on the show before, but it’s especially noticeable today because it’s Christmas!
There’s no more appropriate outfit than a sweater on Christmas Day, but we would have loved to see the contestants all decked out in matching “Jeopardy!” Christmas sweaters as a special bonus for having their episode air on Christmas Day! Maybe next year!
Oh, and for those that are wondering, Amy said that she is still wearing her pearls underneath – they’re just hidden by that high collar! Good to know!
Day 23: Amy Schneider Got Her Cardigan From Target!
On Day 23 – New Year’s Day – Amy decided to go for a classic and wear a beige cardigan from Target that she has worn on the show before.
She said that she’s worn the top before too, but it doesn’t have a label and she’s not sure where she got it. Still, she loves to mix and match!
Day 33: Amy Went Shopping!
By Day 33, Amy realized that she had some money to burn! She had won over a million dollars at this point, but when she realized she needed some more clothes, she decided to hit up a Target in LA!
It just goes to show, no matter how much money you have in the bank, you can never go wrong at Target!
Day 41: Her Very Last Outfit!
Say it ain’t so! Amy’s very last outfit on “Jeopardy!”… at least until the Tournament of Champions, that is!
Amy said that she chose a classic black and cream combo with repeated items from her closet. She bought the blouse at @diaandco East Adeline and the black cardigan came from @madewell.
At least she was defeated by Rhone, who made a statement of his own with his brilliant fashion sense and those statement glasses! Rhone’s win streak didn’t last long, but he will forever go down in history as the champ who defeated Amy Schneider! Take a look!
