In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America only a few days before defeat, Amy said the best part of appearing on "Jeopardy!" was being on television as her authentic self.

Amy said that the best part of her historic run has been "being on TV as my true self, expressing myself, and representing the entire community of trans people and just kind of showing a different thing that maybe some people have seen, of just being just smart, confident woman, and just doing something super normal like being on ‘Jeopardy!’"

Although her time during regular tournament play is over, fans can still look forward to seeing her in the upcoming Tournament of Champions. The former champion said that she is “definitely looking forward to it.”

“I’m also a little bit intimidated by it,” Amy confessed. “When I first started, I wasn’t sure if I might be going up against Matt Amodio and I was really hoping I wouldn’t, and now it turns out I’m going to have to anyway. So it’s going to be really challenging, a lot of strong players there, but it should be a lot of fun.”

The exact date for the 2022 Tournament of Champions has yet to be announced.
