On Sunday, January 30, the R&B singer took to Instagram to express how flattered she was by Janet's public declaration of love in 2008.

The mother-of-two shared a snap from the "Together Again" artist's interview with E! Online, in which the icon revealed she would date Keys if she ever wanted a lesbian fling.

However, the "No One" singer wasn't solely taking a walk down memory lane as the next slide of her post was a promotional picture for Janet's self-titled documentary.

To kill two birds with one stone — responding to this love confession and advertising the Popstar's lifetime series, the 41-year-old captioned this post:

"I always knew I was BAE But when @janetjackson says it 💥💥💥💥 Make sure you watch OUR Sis, THE ICON's Doc 💯💯💯💯💯"

Naturally, fans and celebrities alike were touched by this sweet tribute as they flooded the comment section with praises for the two queens.

Most admirers of the singers stated that they would support a lesbian relationship between the dynamic duo. In contrast, others pointed out that they would also choose the 15-time Grammy winner as their partner.

Celebrities such as the actress Ariana DeBose gushed about Keys and Janet being "gorgeous women," a sentiment the singer Lachi echoed by writing, "Janet has great taste!"

Back in 2008, DigitalSpy shared that the younger sister of Michael Jackson, the late King of Pop Music, had expressed her affections for the accomplished pianist.

In the interview, the tenth and youngest child of the Jackson family pointed out that she wouldn't mind being in a same-sex relationship with the younger entertainer.

Despite not being a lesbian, the 55-year-old believed she would be okay dating the "My Boo" songstress as she described the New Yorker as a "wonderful" person.

The "Why Did I Get Married?" actress stated that she felt the media doubted the sexuality of powerful female celebrities such as Keys and talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

According to the mother-of-one, because they were strong women, people wished to attribute something behind that strength, and judging their sexuality seemed to be the public's take on the matter.

Although she was up for a lesbian fling with the R&B star, the "Rhythm Nation" singer confessed that she would be heartbroken if her partner turned out to be gay.

At the time of the interview, Janet had been dating record producer Jermaine Dupri for six years and stated she would instead come back as a man than lose him.

The Blast recently reported that the Rhythm Nation founder's Lifetime docuseries did not only showcase Janet's legacy but also cleared the air about her 1980s baby rumors.

The 5-time Grammy winner established herself as a chart-topper and trendsetter during her founding years, just like her late older brother; however, her fame did not come without its woes.

The 55-year-old has been accused of having a secret child with ex-husband James DeBarge and giving the baby up for adoption throughout her career.

However, in the first part of her docuseries, the "Nasty" singer denied these allegations, explaining that she had no idea where the media got hold of such a ridiculous story.

According to the rumors, the entertainer was allegedly pregnant as she had been gaining weight at the time and eventually gave birth to a baby girl, who Janet's older sister adopted.

Contrary to these speculations, the Hollywood Walk of Fame alum stated that her weight gain was due to birth control pills, and the alleged child never existed as she had no reason to hide the baby.

The Pop icon married DeBarge after the pair eloped when the songstress was only 18-years-old. However, their romance ended due to her first husband's drug addiction.
