2022 is proving to be quite a hectic year for Lisa Vanderpump, who has spent a significant amount of time on hospital visits.

In the wake of being diagnosed with COVID-19, the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star has suffered a broken leg.

This injury spurred from a horse riding trip gone wrong which led to the star flying off the four-legged creature!

Lisa Vanderpump Breaks Leg In Horse-Riding Accident

Vanderpump was definitely not pumped when her fun-filled horse ride at The Paddock in Los Angeles turned sour on Sunday, January 30, according to TMZ.

The TV personality's horse became frightened mid-ride, stood on its hind legs, and sent her swinging up in the air. 

Vanderpump ended up flying over the horse's head and landing flat on her back, resulting in broken bones, an eyewitness told the outlet.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star is in severe pain as she not only sprained her back but reportedly broke her leg in two sites above her ankles.

The socialite was rushed to the hospital via an ambulance with her loving husband Ken Todd in tow. Todd remained in the hospital with his wife pending her surgery.

Despite over six years of riding experience, Vanderpump suffered an unfortunate accident. Insiders believe she will be fine once she heals from her injuries.

Earlier this month, a vaccinated Vanderpump was caught up in another unexpected debacle. The Blast disclosed that on January 11, she announced she had contacted COVID-19.

On Tuesday, January 11, the Vanderpump Dogs" star broke the news on her Instagram page with an emoji of herself looking sad.

It appeared to be the dog lover's first time contracting the widespread disease as she expressed, “Agh it finally got me… #covid_19.”

Fans virtually hugged Vanderpump in the comments section. A fan suggested, “Lots of vitamin C 1000mg, lots of water, lots of chicken soup. It will be over in no time. Especially if inoculated."

Vanderpump has a soft spot for dogs that led her to found the "Vanderpump Dogs," rescue center for the animals, in West Hollywood in 2016.

The Blast shared that it was a massive loss to the philanthropist when she lost her household dog Rumpy last December.

Vanderpump broke the news to her Instagram followers with a heartwarming slideshow of the deceased furry friend. In one image, she was kneeling behind the adorable dog. 

Another photo showed Todd holding and kissing Rumpy. The dog-mom wrote that he died after a brave fight with cancer and waited for her family to return from London before passing away.

Nevertheless, there were positive firsts to celebrate last year as Vanderpump became a "glammy" when her daughter and son-in-law Pandora Vanderpump and Jason Sabo welcomed a son.

The Blast revealed that the star made the announcement on Instagram with a cute photo of the bouncing baby boy named Theodore.

The proud grandmother gushed in the captions that she is “obsessively in love” with the baby and thanked her daughter and son-in-law for making her a “Nanny Pinky!”

Vanderpump chose the nickname “Nanny Pinky" because it was loved by Pandora and Jason and did not hint at the baby's gender at the time.

Vanderpump may return to the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in 2022 after abruptly exiting the show halfway into its 9th season.

“The Baiting Game” author previously voiced her lack of interest in making a comeback but The Blast shared that she has turned a complete 180° on her stance.

Insiders divulged to HollywoodLife that Vanderpump regrets her hasty exit from the Bravo reality series and secretly would love to return.

The source explained that the grandmother-of-one is embarrassed to admit it due to how she left things, but she wishes she had taken a season or two off instead of quitting.

The insider said Vanderpump is aware some cast members and former friends, including Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, and Erika Jayne, may not be happy to see her.

Although there had been no talk of her joining the new season of Real Housewives series, the source buttressed that Vanderpump would seriously consider returning if Andy Cohen called.
