Lisa Vanderpump looked back on her decision to leave her full-time role on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in June 2019 during a June 9 interview with DailyMailTV.

Amid the 11th season of the Bravo reality series, Vanderpump admitted that when it came to her sudden departure, it was prompted by the depression she faced after the devastating suicide of her brother, Mark Vanderpump.

'Well, it wasn't after leaving the 'Housewives' that I was depressed, I left 'Housewives' because I was depressed,' she revealed.

"I was just looking for happiness in my life and I wasn't doing too well, and I encourage people to reach out if they feel [they're] struggling," Vanderpump continued.

Although Vanderpump was going through a devastating time at the end of season nine, when she left her long-running position on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," she took solace in the fact that she was surrounded by love and support.

"'I had a lot of support around me, but I just needed to reach out and get a bit of help with grief counseling," she recalled.

Looking back on her decision to walk away from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Vanderpump said she knew she had to go after her former best friend Kyle Richards suggested she had lied about one of their cast mates.

"Well, you know, I'm passionate about dogs, I'm not crazy about b-tches," Vanderpump said of their dispute, giving a nod to her former tagline on the show. "You need the support of your friends around you. You don't need some of your supposedly best friends standing in your kitchen screaming at you that you're a liar."

According to Vanderpump, her behavior towards Richards wasn't her proudest moment on the show.

"I don't think I was that classy when I said to Kyle, 'Get the hell out of my kitchen,'" she admitted. "There's no point getting down in the dirt. And, you know, ultimately, you'll kind of - as long as you don't succumb to it, you know - try not to lose your dignity."

As for the ninth season of "Vanderpump Rules," Vanderpump joked that it is quite evident that the cast had been "locked up for a year."
