Australia Doesn't Want Kanye West Unless He's Fully Vaccinated

Kanye West’s plans to go down under may be derailed by his vaccination status.
The “Donda” rapper is reportedly planning to tour in Australia in March, but the country’s Prime Minister has different plans.
On Saturday, January 29, Prime Minister Scott Morrison warned Kanye about the repercussions of coming to Australia without being fully vaccinated.
Morrison said he would not be allowed in the country if he is not fully vaccinated upon his arrival.
Australia Doesn't Want Kanye Unless He's Fully Vaxxed
“The rules are you have to be fully vaccinated,” Morrison said during a news conference.
“They apply to everybody, as people have seen most recently. It doesn’t matter who you are, they are the rules. Follow the rules – you can come. You don’t follow the rules, you can’t,” he continued.
Morrison’s warning comes two weeks after tennis pro Novak Djokovic came to the country unvaccinated.
Earlier this month, the tennis superstar was deported from Australia after the federal court upheld the cancellation of Djokovic’s visa, according to Forbes.
The athlete was there to play in the Australia Open with hopes of winning a Grand Slam title, but his unwillingness to get vaccinated burst the dream bubble.
Novak Djokovic Deported For Not Being Vaccinated
Per Forbes, the Australian Open required players to be vaccinated before participating in the 2022 edition of the Grand Slam tournament held each year in Melbourne, Australia.
Same goes for the rest of the country as Australia has implemented strict COVID-19 precautions and restrictions.
So, word to the Yeezus… get your second vaccination.
According to a November report from Yahoo! the rapper, who legally changed his name to ‘Ye’ in 2021, has received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
During his November interview on Drink Champs he said, “I traveled to Paris a couple weeks ago, and I had to go through Lisbon because you can go through Lisbon without being vaccinated. I only got one of the shots, so I’m half-ccinated.”
According to the CDC, people are only considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second shot if they're taking a two-dose vaccine. It is recommended that people get their "second shot as close to the recommended 3-week or 4-week interval as possible."
It's currently unknown if Ye has gotten his second shot or not, but from the Prime Minister’s warning it’s looking like he has most likely NOT gotten the second dose.
Kanye Isn't Clear On His Vaccination Status
In addition to potentially being denied entry into Australia… the rapper is facing an immense amount of backlash for his recent claims about Pete Davidson.
If you don’t know by now, Kim Kardashian is dating the ‘SNL’ star and Ye isn’t the biggest fan of their unexpected romance.
On Friday, The Blast reported that Ye reportedly spread the rumor that Davidson has AIDS.
TMZ reported the Yeezy designer is telling his friends the ‘SNL’ alum has AIDS.
AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is caused by untreated HIV (human immunodeficiency syndrome), which is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system.
AIDS is the most severe phase of HIV infection according to CDC.gov, and there is currently no cure.
Kanye Spreads Rumor Pete Has AIDS
Per the CDC’s website, “people with AIDS have such badly damaged immune systems that they get an increasing number of severe illnesses, called opportunistic infections.”
Without proper treatment, people with AIDS typically survive about three years.
Freddie Mercury of “Queen” passed away due to complications from AIDS in 1991, and Magic Johnson currently lives with HIV, which he contracted back in the early ‘90s.
The rumor Kanye is spreading has reportedly gotten back to Pete, and now Ye’s close friends are denying it.
Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks claimed, “Kanye’s telling everybody within earshot that Pete has aids.”
Per TMZ, Ye’s claim has led to a few awkward phone calls between Pete and mutual friends he has with Kanye, who are confused and disturbed by this behavior.
However, one source close to the rap star told the outlet the allegation that he’s spreading the rumor is “nonsense.”
This isn’t Ye’s first attempt at disturbing the peace with Pete and Kim.
Earlier this month, Ye also took a swing at Pete in his song, “My Life Was Never Eazy.”
He raps, “God saved from that crash, Just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s A**.”
